Elizabeth M. Nihill height always makes everything more pretty but it’s so hard to be a dancer when your tall. i’m 5’6 and 12 and it’s very hard to be a dancer and tall and i feel really bad for her because she’s so tall.

It's because Abby has traumatised her so much in her life and has made her hate her body and her 'tarantula arms' that she needs to show progress. If Ava didn't mention her once, that would be pretty weird because it was Abby who gave her the starting career.

I thought the same, they kept coming back after Abby said they were no longer welcome so her mom was like 'why, what reason. Don't kick her out because of me give her a reason' so Abby compared her to another dancer (Chloe possibly??) and said 'sorry, you're too tall today'. So she wasn't actually kicked out because of that, that was just a random reason when they wouldn't accept that Abby didn't like them and didn't think Ava was good enough. No hate, just facts. I get that she's upset by it but don't use that as a story when it is only half of the truth (unless the show cut parts out/ didn't show things that would suggest otherwise because I know they enhance situations).

Then they came into the ALDC dressing room where Ava was preforming a solo with her moms company and Abby said your not really what I'm looking for for the select team. Then showed up again at pyramid and her mom was like when was she cut so Abby stuck her next to Chloe said your too tall for us today your cut. It had nothing really to do with her height but the fact her mom kept bringing her back after she was cut the first time.
