Lisa is credited in the songwriting and composing. But yeah, this is a DJ Snake song so it's really more his style than Blackpink/Lisa, and it's not a kpop song. Refreshing to hear Lisa singing tho, I personally like her tone. Also, she has dance breaks here more than on their group work so I love that too

I feel like if she introduced herself as just Lisa, people who don't know kpop would think she's a solo artists, so i think they add the "Of BLACKPINK" so people can know she's from a group, because she only had 2 solo songs besides this one, so it's too early to introduce her name as a solo artists since she's still gonna' be in the group until 2023, and if they resign until 2030, but once she has like 10 songs by herself i think she'll stick with just Lisa.

Your reaction is exactly why Lisa needed to do this collab. Blinks has have watched Lisa dance and rap to Teddy tracks for 5yrs now. However anyone who knows anything about her trainee years knows that she was a top YG vocalist as well but was debuted as a dancer/rapper with an occasional short vocal. SG is not kpop, it's non BP, it's not Teddy, and it's certainly not the rap we've heard for 5+yrs now. I'm not a DJ Snake fan but I give him enormous props for realizing that Lisa has talents well beyond what we've seen for 5+yrs now and provided her the platform to show us all that she can sing. Lisa put her name as Lisa of blackpink is kind of representing the group. She is still part of blackpink that's why blackpink is always connected to her. I think even jennie, jisoo or rosé got to collab with other artist, they will used too the blackpink because that is their group name. Yeah, your comments about the “LISA from BLACKPINK” thing was something her fans thought was weird as well. It’s either YG wants free promo for the whole group or they underestimate her worldwide popularity without the group. DJ Snake’s been trying to get this collab with Lisa in particular for so long and in the beginning only followed Lisa and refused to follow the whole group on IG until fans gave him shit for it lol. So maybe YG accepting the collab is conditional on BLACKPINK getting some acknowledgement if he really wanted to collab with only Lisa and not the whole group. Lisa's first official songwriting credit REASON WHY credited as 'Lisa OF BLACKPINK': probably contractual from YGE, and makes sense from marketing point since neither LISA nor BLACKPINK are truly household names YET in USA or Latin music countries despite having lots of fans. There was even some confusion where some idiot making out the Billboard Twitter Global 200 top ten charts listed LALISA under LiSA with lowercase 'i' like the Japanese soloist, maybe Her full first name LALISA would've been better stagename for solo to avoid confusion, but she's already known as Lisa (리사) in Korea where vast majority idols have a 2 syllable name when written in hangeul (some have 1 like Anne 앤 of GWSN or 3 from including last name like Na GoEun 나고은 of super talented rookie girl group PURPLE KISS). Obviously the company YGE is hoping to increase BLACKPINK fanbase of BLINKs with this track, which seems to be a bit of a raison d'être for collabs in general. Since this is essentially a more international Taki Taki 2.0 with Megan and Lisa in place of Cardi and Selena Gomez, it will probably be a big hit and would've probably been even bigger if released earlier in summer with those Miami vibes, but since song itself has been finished for a while (DJ Snake old social media posts) YGE probably wanted to hold off until after Lisa solo released to have bigger impact and get eyes and ears to check out her recent solo and potentially the next full group BLACKPINK release, which is probably Nov or Dec., smart marketing. Only 17 million views at 22 hours says some BLINKs possibly weren't supporting this MV much out of sour grapes that their biases weren't involved, but realistically even if DJ Snake had wanted whole group on the track they'd each get only what maybe 12-15 seconds each if the Ozuna part was cut down? Those fans would've been frustrated by line distribution splitting up 6 people vocals & rap (then they would get to feel what it's like also being a fan of FROMIS_9 and waiting for your fave's small part). We still don't know what Jennie and Rosé were working on in LA a few months back without Lisa (busy on solo) or Jisoo (busy starring in her first lead K drama role). So there's that. Some fans always whining when their fave isn't the focus of the entire universe for 5 minutes... actually I think Jennie talked a while back about starting to learn Spanish

Re: your comment about "Lisa of Blackpink", I think there are several reasons that they added the attribution. First, despite the billions of views, I can tell you in Chicago at least, no one I work with or am friends with would know who I was talking about when I said "Lisa"...because all of my coworkers and friends are over 35. Second, I think YG is being very careful with the brand and Lisa as a possible second brand. Lisa probably has the same contract as the other three girls, and I'm sure there are difficult contract renewal negotiations anticipated considering Lisa's exponential popularity explosion. And I wonder what the deal is with BlackPink signing with Interscope in the US...was is just a distribution deal, or are there stipulations around promotion and marketing, and did Lisa sign separately as well? I have no evidence for either one of my opinions, but it would make sense. There is one other reason I was thinking about, and despite how much it's based on just Lisa's public persona, I would LIKE to believe it's true: I hope it really was Lisa that added "...crown belongs to we" to "Lalisa" and the "from BlackPink" in this video's credits because she simply wanted to out of loyalty and gratitude to her 3 friends. Trainee life is like a trauma, and I think they feel like co-survivors. I don't know. I could just be falling for the MASSIVE marketing machine behind KPop. But it's a nice thought. The “Member of Group” styling is pretty common for K-pop artists so in case there are two artists with the same name you’d know who it was and because even though she’s doing this as a solo artist she’s still a member of BLACKPINK. There’s not a separation of solo work and group work in K-pop . Also I think in Lisa’s case, Lisa is a common name vs something SUGA. And Lisa isn’t the only Asian artist to simply go by Lisa, there’s a famous J-Pop artist that is stylized as LiSA.

I feel the reason they said Lisa of Blackpink is because it was probably negotiated with YG in order to allow Lisa to participate in the song and video. It's not like anyone doesn't know who Lisa is. But I feel most Americans and Latins don't know about her start as part of Blackpink. Korean music industry doesn't push the individual they push the group. As you can see in most of Lisa's videos they make sure to always tie her into Blackpink and this in turn builds Blackpinks sales and fanbase. YG's biggest worry is that Lisa will figure out that she is a brand all by herself and leave Blackpink and YG.
