The fact that the pad doesn't recognise left and right but still gets the combo is a flaw in the game. I noticed this with all players, they just dance and just tap with whatever foot.

Yes indeed, The L-R alphabet on the note just guide you for correctly a step.

L/R is just a suggestion. Dance Rush Stardom is about player expression. Score takes a backseat to that.
