Having been a semi-pro Ballroom dancer...your line, presentation, balance and structure...has given me and my lady a clear comprehension and a visual insight to practice all moves and sways...where as our dance teachers has failed and would not disclose how to use flexible exercise and techniques. We both are happy to watch your videos during our isolation. Love Itxx

This is such good info for my mental archive! I don't do any international style yet myself, but when I do I have a better foundation. I'm grateful to have an awesome resource like Dance Vision!

Hi Iaroslav and Lilia Thanks so much for this, my partner and I have found all your videos on dance vision extremely useful. We now use these exercises and some from your other videos in our warmup routine. We were wondering about step four of the natural spin turn for the lady and couldn't quite fit that step into any of these, is it different? We'd also really love to see a video about how hold works in the dance (not just about taking hold). Everyone knows you shouldn't gap but where should connection be made/maintained. Thanks Toby

I love your lesson. It is clear, precise, and very demonstrated. It clarifies some basic steps for me. I will definitely follow your advice and do these step exercises. Where can I watch your other videos which you mentioned it early in your presentation. Thank you very much.

Some good ideas on the role of the ankle in commencing the movement. But the receiving leg should not soften so much when it receives the weight.

Flavio G Hello! Thank you so much for your comments! We want to ensure you that we ourselves teach and dance absolutely 100% of information from the video. Receiving leg plays crucial role in the movement and the only way to maintain smooth continuous movement of the spine is to keep on engaging (bending/softening) hip joint, ankle and knee joint until the spine is over the foot. This is from “Fundamentals of Biomechanics”. Hope that helps 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Also when going back try to keep your receiving leg close to straight and use the hinge at the ball to control the speed of the movement. Most ladies who “run away” fail to do this well. So what is shown here is incorrect - I am sure they don’t actually dance like this.

@@ericb1212 The point is, the knee should not bend as shown. Have a look on Augusto Schiavo's channel, he has a good video on the topic of the ankle/knee interaction on the backward walk.
