Of course we all know DWTD is an outstanding band. But many of you may be pleased to know they are also outstanding people. I drove to Chicago to see them at a smaller venue, Justin and Tony stood outside with everyone before the show and smoked cigs, gave and took pictures, and were very personable. It was like they didn't know we were all there just to see them. Please, buy their merch. It is likely their greatest source of income and they deserve every penny.

Bought the album 10 minutes before leaving home for work and had the best hour driving to work in weeks. Non stop listen at work, then another glorious hour back home driving. Made my poor man´s wolkswagen feel like an v8 interceptor.

newretrowave is not a genre. its a label. this is synthwave and if thats to hard to pronounce you can call it retrowave. some might say its close to synthrock. but we all /synth/ in the end

This is fucking fantastic. So many bands in Synthwave are going toward that "cinematic" sound seemingly focusing on atmosphere over hard ass dance beats and sickening synth melodies over them, but not this. Great stuff, guys, looking very much forward to both live shows in the Bay Area.

I agree, like for me personally I've never understood Dark Synthwave or whatever it's called since it totally lacks melody, like there's nothing to remember about it....I guess it's fine for background music for whatever tf you're doing but goddam this is good shit for just actively listening and vibing, idk it's just my opinion but yeah

This is exactly what I was hoping their next album would be, it's like a prefect mix of everything good from their earlier stuff like Near Dark, and everything good about B sides. Hard ass Synth-Metal that still retains the characteristic style DWTD is known for. Fucking perfection.
