Guessing they share two qualities...1) They've heard maybe at most 10 of the 250+ songs Bruce has penned... and 2) They've never experienced Bruce/ESB LIVE. I've attended 30+ shows since 2000 alone ,and that's not even close to average for Bruce fans I see repeatedly at shows. There's a reason people come back again and again...

Springsteen needs to keep his political views to himself. Personally, having heard way more of his music than I would like, I can admit he had 3 or 4 songs 30- 40 yrs ago that were decent.

I was never a Bruce fan until I saw one of his tours. I left a believer and I will never walk away. Live changes everything. One of the greatest artists of our age -- and until you see him and his band on one of their tours, you may never make the 'connection'.

I feel like it's been forever since the last time we were blessed with another WOTE cover song... and as a New Jersey native and lifelong resident, I not only 100% approve of this one, but absolutely LOVE it! 🔥🙌🏼🔥 Fun Fact: Bruce Springsteen's son went to the same school as me in the late 90s (although he was much younger than I was). We would often see Bruce walking around the hallways, at team games, and various school events. In fact, one time after school, I played flag football with him! He lived right across the street from the school, and I went trick or treating at his house a couple times during Halloween.

@@fischerstevenm we are all just people man. As a musician myself I can tell you that Bruce would have probably been just like any other dude at the school except he played music lol. Considering he wasn't known for his music at the time and was still a kid figuring himself out I doubt much about your school experience would have changed if you went there. You probably wouldn't have even know the dude....or wait...maybe he would have been your best friend! Maybe you would have both learned to play together and it'd be the "Steven Fischer and Bruce Springsteen Band" rofl!!! haha. You never know!!!?!?

I’m a relatively new WOTE fan, having seen them for the first time at the Uptown Theater in Napa, CA, about a year ago. Am also a Jersey Boy, 70+ years old and never thought I’d hear a cover worthy of “The Boss”, Bruce. But you all nailed it. Love your energy, creativity, and amazing sound. Thanks. Sincerely. As someone who has seen Springsteen 4 (or 5) times in concert, I can say that this is one of the only Springsteen covers I've done that does justice to the original. And I think that that's *because* you sound so different from the OG. *Great* job, WOTE.

The great thing about those guys is, that you dont even need to ask yourself wether or not you liked the original song they are covering. When they cover it, it becomes great! So gorgeously amazing!!

I must admit I was a little skeptic when I started this video but you quickly changed that. This is an amazing cover and I feel like this is the perfect sitting around a fireplace version (because that’s how I enjoy the original most). At night with good friends, a good beer, around a little fireplace.

It amazes me every time i watch a new wote video and the guy on guitar and the lady on banjo mimic another artist's manner of singing but also make it totally original and their own. I enjoy singing myself and it's so cool and interesting how they use their voices.

I used to be a major Boss fan--even got lucky enough to see him live in 1984--and for years this was my favorite song. I tried out this version expecting to not like it because I generally don't care for remakes. Oh. My. Gosh...I LOVE it!! Immediately downloaded it on Spotify...and subscribed to this channel. Really love how you approach you covers these days. Still using innovative instruments and arrangements, but with less novelty so you’re able to focus more on the core of the song. Novelty got you noticed, musicianship,talent, and execution is extending your reach, and it’s fantastic to see. The way you’ve matured as a group is so nice to see.

I LOVE Springsteen! That said, I would have to say that Dancing In The Dark has never been a favorite. When I saw the short clip you did, I thought, no, don't do a full version. But as ALWAYS is the case with you (MY FAVORITE BAND), I LOVE YOUR VERSION!!! The arrangement and harmonies just gorgeous!!! Thank you! When you begin touring again, PLEASE come back to PHILLY! In the last year + since you came onto my radar, I have perhaps watched all of your videos multiple times, but I have yet to see you live. 🙏

My only beef with this song is that the version on Spotify is not the same as this video. Sarah’s harmonies are out of this world in this video and she’s not really featured in the Spotify version. Such a banger!!
