Don’t forget the naturally-gifted dancer. Never stretches but is the most flexible. Best turnout. Longest legs. Perfect ballet body. A lot of the time they don’t even want to do ballet professionally.

I am literally exactly the shy bunhead I am not lying, I literally do everything like her!! Edit: i quit ballet because of all the mental health issues and injuries. In another life, this would've worked out, i'm sure of it I love ballet but i love my life just a little bit more. I still dance though, just not ballet. For me, it's different for the classes, in jazz the teacher loves me and always compliments and corrects me. In my first ballet class, my teacher literally told me ”your a beautiful graceful little dancer. To bad, I never pay attention to you.” in my second ballet class and pre-pointe I'm just like there...The face teacher is my best friend's mom though so I think she likes me- then both modern and hip-hop are fine. I feel like ever since my best friend started at my dance studio. she got mega-popular and took me with her, so now I hang out with the popular girls and boy. K thanks for coming to my ted talk

I'm trying to get back into ballet. I dropped it because my dance teacher was getting progressively impatient with everyone since the "Prima Ballerina" (she wasn't really, it was a small dance school and there weren't official titles, but she was the lead role in every one of our performances and was the best dancer there) left for college. It wasn't fun anymore and it really killed my passion to dance when nothing I did seemed to be right. I wasn't the only one to quit because of how we were treated, and our dance teacher had to Stop lessons and close her studio (it was just an extension on her house it wasn't very big) I was very much the shy bunhead...

You got those types so well. You could add that teachers pet is coached by far the most in class and she is always asked to demonstrate to the rest of us. Had a girl in my year at full time ballet school who was very beautiful - but every morning she put her arms on the barre and faced the mirror looking at her face for 20 minutes or so! She knew we noticed but that didn’t put her off at all. It was so funny. She was a great dancer and became a professional in my country.... so hats off to her!

A lot of people feel like there are stereotypes in dancing but really all of the people in ballet class all have a deep bond and understanding of each other and we all like each other and are all friends even if it seems like we aren’t.

Not a dancer, but an artistic roller skater. Withmy team, our coach is actually kind of more strict on her favorite, like she's always watching her and giving corrections even when she doesn't have a lesson. But the whole picking her up and bringing her to class is so accurate with us

I was a troublemaker when I did ballet. I got nicknamed “The Phantomess of the Opera”, for sabotaging other dancers, messing with props or sets, intimidating/blackmailing/terrorizing directors or producers, I even had my own insane cackle perfected.

I was personally the teachers pet. I remember one time I was doing a performance and someone who the teacher really disliked lost her hat before the performance started, the girls wore hats for it (tap dancing btw) and she asked me to ask the teacher if she had spares since the girl was too scared to and she knew that the teacher would be fine with it if I asked. I got special treatment ngl- I didn’t need it LOL
