And as you have surely noticed, although they are all outstanding , none of them standout 😍 Nightwish is their own genre and no other band comes close to the level they are at. Never, in the history of music entertainment, have a set of skills and talent collided in such powerful manner. Tuomas is a true genius as a composer and with lyrics and Floor is a true Valkyrie Goddess.

Nightwish is or used to be only band in the world whose bass player is also lead singer in various recording bands and metal pioneer for 40 years. Unblievable. Its like real life Masked Singer, Marko is masked up as bass player...Its so funny when hes been rocking since 1980's and people see these videos for the first time and be like "Oh, the bass player can sing too" Sure do :D

Floor is classically trained singer who can sing what ever genre - and phone book too (there is a video) - and she can growl too

Nightwish is even more oldschool than you thought...they've actually been around since 1996...first album came out in 1997. Marko (bass player) sang quite a bit while he was in the band...even sang lead on a few songs. I think most Nightwish fans are going to recommend stuff like Epica and Ayreon more than they would Korn. A good intro to Epica is Sancta Tera (live version featuring Floor), and the best intro to Ayreon is The Day That the World Breaks Down (official music video....not the live version at first).

Ok, speaking of all female Metal bands, have you heard of the all girl Metal band from Canada named KITTIE??? They were on a 13 YEAR hiatus and in 4 days is releasing a NEW album on Sumerian Records, they've already released 4 singles/videos. If you want the HEAVIEST check out "Eyes Wide Open" (groove metal vibe w/ black metal style all harsh vocals), if you want the more commercial sounding check out "One Foot In The Grave" (very anthemic w/ both clean and harsh vocals).

I'm sure you'll get many requests for Storytime soon, another banger, more lighthearted and even a bit pop, but dang if it isnt an awesome track. Nightwish just keeps on bringing the fire each and every performance they give, truly one of the best bands to catch live when given the chance. A Dutch man is a bit taller than Floor. In the Netherlands, Floor doesn't stand out that much. Her father is taller than her.
