Idk if it's just me, but my biggest dandori issues while playing the game blind were: -Forgetting what I assigned for the shortcut buttons (I wasted 17 spicy sprays bc of this) -In the first area, I thought you needed Winged pikmin for that pocket watch against the wall (just use Oatchi rush) -47 Pikmin getting crushed by that lavacake fiery flat-ass bug thing bc it was a new enemy

Pikmin 4 is the only one of the games where I’ve had genuine extinctions, not because of enemies, but from mechanics I didn’t know about like the bottomless swamp sublevels or charging the Smokey Progg in the final cave.

I think the worst experience I’ve had yet is the Doppelgänger’s Den boss. Not because the boss itself is hard but because all of your Pikmin focus on everything else but the boss 😂

Some of these clips are making me think of Level 5 of the Trial of the Sage Leaf, where I’d always try to get the pool ball near the Mammoth Snootwhacker early, but as soon as the Winged Pikmin got it down from the spider web, they would always start trying to attack the Mammoth Snootwhacker rather than grabbing the ball right next to them. That got annoying lightning fast.

The fight with empress Bulbax at 7:23 was absolutely not fun at all 😭 I already lost 8 pikmin as I was going through the cave so I just decided to use the ghost pikmin to fight the boss. It took a while but I really didn’t want to deal with losing my other pikmin.

Spoilers for the final cave One of my biggest dandori issues was during the arctic cannon beetle in the cavern for a king, when I got to the top he was sucking in to shoot a boulder, he flung many Pikmin off the map and ate many Pikmin, dying after because he ate almost all of my whites

In my playthrough, in the dandori challenge that involved wings, purples, and whites i had a gameplay flaw where i got close to beating it with a few seconds to spare. I got the last treasure and it didnt end and i was freaking out. I looked up at the ledge and a purple pikmin failed to latch onto the root treasure thing and it made me lose. Needless to say, i was pissed

seeing you consider rewinding after losing 1 pikmin is literally so relatable, I usually reset if I lost 5 or more pikmin in any of the games lmao

Man, that Bulblax Queen in the 20-level cave was just evil. I nope-d out of it and solely used Otachi's bite to slooooowly kill it. The air jets are super unreliable always activating when you're not near it and never working when you're literally running on top of it, the cave has no rock candy pop buds and doesn't even suggest rock pikmin when you enter the cave. What were they thinking?!?

I loved this game, played all the previous 3 too when they originally released. But the thing that makes me most upset about this installment: the CONSTANT chatter from the crew-members whenever something happens to my pikmin, even if it happens right in front of my damn eyes. I really wish there was a way to mute your comms so they'd all just STFU. Soon after playing the demo, I realized I actually miss the aspect of loneliness felt in the first 2 pikmin games.
