It's impossible to explain just how big Dane was unless you were there. He would have families listening to a comedy special on a road trip instead of music. His peak was higher than anyones ever

@@realbangbang I’ll always love Dane cook. I was taking those STAR tests for high school back in the day and a buddy lent me his iPod to listen to when id finish the test. I came across some Dane Cook bits and couldn’t stop fuckin laughing uncontrollably in class. Teacher was telling me to be quite cuz obviously people were taking test but the shit was hilarious I’ll never forget it. This was back in like 2006ish as well

I have watched countless podcasts where people talk to Dane Cook and I've never rarely seen a host get as much out of him as Santino did here. Fantastic job on this one. I think Santino's interview/conversation skills are underrated.

For me it was the beginning of KZfaq, being 7/8 years old finding MS paint animated videos of his bits. I watched them so much, memorized them and would retell them at school. Some really amazing memories there. My first intro to standup comedy was Dane 🎉❤

I have some many bits from vicious circle memorized. My brothers and I still quote it to this day. The first comedy special I would regularly go back to and rewatch. I even had some of his stuff on my ipod. Dane is definitely one of my gateways into stand up.

I am towards the end of this interview and I’m so excited to watch Dane’s new special right after this. Dane, you were my absolute favorite along side Hedberg back in the day and I’m just so happy to see you back in the game at full force after all the hardships you’ve gone through. Apparently people hated on Dane Cook for awhile but long before I was really into comedy I was really into his stuff. I STILL - 15 years later, think about his bits on a weekly basis, or a line will pop into my head like "let's do this I'm a cashew" for a random reason. That's pretty incredible. Core childhood memory- My brother calling us over to the family computer showing us a message Dane Cook responded to on Facebook. We were a BIG Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin family, that moved to Dane Cook and Jim Gaffigan in the early ‘00

I remember having his stand up on my iPod nano 1st gen. I’d listen to it over and over!!! Whose Line is it Anyways and Dane Cook were the biggest influences of my humor as a kid. lol

Growing up in the early 2000 Dane cook introduced me to stand up comedy… someone I downloaded limewire clips from , and now podcasting with my current favorite podcaster\actor we are lucky fans
