To be fair, Calling in fire support from a guy named "Apocalypse" when so close to the marked area was probably a bad idea on paper. He killed more friendlies than the VC.

@@hoopchristine5202 Less of a Vietnem experience, and more of "yes, have served and..... worked along side logistics people". And while I was a cook, and rarely off my butt too, my officers mess truck, was less used by officers and more of.... certain people who outranked me, and wanted to chill and play a few cards while on maneuvers. Being a good lad, I kept my damn yap shut, as if you piss off the logistics, you end up with the shitty versions of C-rations and somehow incredible hard time getting ANYTHING delivered. I'm not smart, but just smart enough.

Don't undersell yourself (unless there is an actual distinction and my USMC-JROTC ass is just being ignorant) But yeah, that sounds like Logistics being Logistics. If Mikeburnfire (the "Zach's Gun Rants" guy that exclusively plays Fallout), a retired US Army small arms repairman, is anything to go by, then all REMFs inevitably seem to enjoy the privileges that come with being practically irreplaceable

Oh I just remembered; OperatorDrewski did an ARMA helicopter video recently for SOG Prairie Fire so maybe he'd be interested in being a pilot. Plus he's also well versed in jets and has even been doing DCS content for a while; maybe he'd do a better job than Apocalypse in a fast mover?

So..if I understand it correctly in the end. JTF and 7th Cavalry suffered heavy casualties but also destroyed VC AA and Arty successfully. That means there will be less support and defense for VC from now on. Defeat seems inevitable. I hope when I chose expanding tunnel network would be worth something. "GI GO HOME!!!!" (Will be waiting for the next vote in community tab. This is one of the best OP from you, Rimmy.) :) P.S. GIVE ME MORE WILLY PETE AND NAM!!!

Hey Rimmy you should do RDR2 online RP but as an Aussie bush ranger who fled to America! A lot of people don’t realise us Aussies had our own Wild West during the second gold rush with Bushrangers and such. RDR online even references Ned Kelly and the main campaign briefly has Dutch humour escaping from the law to Australia.

Peak military is that they showed the USS Kitty Hawk. A ship I was stationed on in the 2000s that also participated in a war while my parents were serving. Gotta save those tax dollars somehow.

So, is there other smaller Zeus operations running alongside the offensives? Because I’ve only seen the offensives videos and haven’t seen any of the smaller ops like the POW rescue operation that Rimmy mentions and the 7th Cav (which may just be a non player unit) operations. So is there actual smaller ops being shown on twitch that I haven’t seen or is that just adding to the aesthetic of the offensives?

Oxy didn't lie. Base-DLC Hueys, and Hueys alone can use the Sling-load plug in added in Sog PF to lift anything, walker bulldogs, trucks, F-4 Phantoms. That Chinook was the issue. If they used a Huey the plan would have worked flawlessly. It's a crying shame.
