Yes, cause he was hella smug when the doctor was advising him against it, as if he knew more than the experienced doctor. What gets me is that people fail to realize there is a reason they have to travel out of the country for such surgeries, which should be a huge red flag.

Brown eyes have so much melanin in them that they protect you from the sun and keeps your eyes healthier. People with lighter colors sometimes have sensitivity issues and vision problems. Melanin is a gift from God.

Because in blue eyes, the pupils appear small because they are, but the difference is that you can clearly see them with a blue background. Smaller pupils look rather piercing. In brown eyes, you can't really see the pupils clearly so you associate the whole Iris as the pupil.

Not really. I lived in Norway for a couple of years, my husband is Norwegian and he has brown eyes, as a lot of Norwegians do due to the their historical diet of fish and seafood, rich in vitamin D, causing the need to soak up less sunlight, require less melanin, which makes their hair and eyes darker.

Lyn Berger um, no....he could just go to his doctor or any ER. You don’t have to go back to the doctor that did your surgery to be treated for any issues. Several of my surgeries were 500 miles away, and my stitch removal and aftercare was done at my regular GP 2 miles away (I did go back for a 6mo checkup with the surgeon, but that was it).

Alex Zeus: my same thoughts. The procedure created the symptoms. Or maybe he didn't take care of them like he was supposed to. The fact that he ignored the symptoms for so long is the reason why he went blind on that eye. Quite ironic that the Doctor that warned him not to do it, ended up being the one rescuing his one good eye.

Alex Zeus if he didn’t ignore the symptom he supposed to go to the clinic and remove the lens earlier to prevent further friction and damage to preserve his vision, there no kind of care to prevent interior eyes damage other than that.

What was he thinking? He acted like brown eyes were a birth defect. Some of the most desirable people are brown eyed. From Julia Roberts to Johnny Depp to the Kardashians and Sandra Bullock...wtf? I realise that blue is arguably a prettier colour than brown on paper, but beautiful eyes depend on shape, lashes, expression, etc. Omg...I would never give up my natural colour permanently. I hope he's learned.

I have blue eyes. I love brown eyes because when you look into them you get a sense of stability, mystery and warmth. Brown eyed men always gave me a stronger sense of security and dominance (in a good way) I've always prefered my men to have brown eyes. Brown eyes are gorgeous.

I'm so perplexed as to how you can hate the colour of your eyes with an absolute passion. That's such an inconsequential thing. Fair enough you might think your eye colour is boring or you might not think it's particularly special, but to HATE them? I respectfully disagree, this guy is just what I said in my comment, filter the comment section to newest first and you will see my thoughts I believe this guy just came to the wrong people to do this procedure he should've went to someone with a 100% guaranteed success rate best one around, obviously this guy didn't do that and it cost him. Nothing wrong with doing this at all I know plenty of people who have and happy they have, I probably will do it too if I feel like it but I don't know. This guy isn't naive I think he just messed up with who to go to. I said more if you look at my comment, and also I would add if I'm him screw it I would've killed myself by now but even then I don't know how he does that he's fucking blind so it is rough but this is a safe procedure if done by the right person

I mean, I personally feel there is more than mere colour that makes certain eyes beautiful. Your eye shape also matters, the eyelashes that frame your eyes, the size, etc.

I remember wanting to have blue/green eyes when I was 6. I even promised myself I'll get surgery when I grow up just to have it. However, when I was 14, someone, a complete stranger, told me "Ohhh, I love your contact lenses" when I wasn't even wearing one. From that day on, I started loving my eyes and from time to time, I would get compliments like "your eyes are beautiful."

He keeps saying he was young and naive but I think he was young, arrogant and hard-headed. He was warned what could happen but his arrogance and narcissism got in his way. I think he wanted the change so badly that he just didn't want to believe the consequences would happen to him. He didn't want to know, he just wanted to feel okay with himself. And after all was said and done, he lost part of his eyesight and got his eyes back to the brown that he wanted to change in the first place.

What's wrong with just getting colored contacts? They're safe if you follow what your optometrists tells you & if you keep them sanitary. You may not be able to sleep in them, but it's better than some risky surgery. Or even more than this - just learn to love your own, real color.
