It's been a couple weeks! We took the Wildernest off to give it (and The Yeti) some TLC. In that time we also rolled the dice and took our chances on this solo mission to a remote cabin on Vancouver Island. Enjoy!

What an awesome place you live in. Where I’m from in northern Maine, very similar. Lots of logging roads to get you to those remote places. Also beautiful truck!

I have a 4Runner Limited with locker in front, I got up there, it was rough last little bit to the cabin lol, I don’t have the height! I went same route, want to try from Mt Benson side! There was a little trail beside the cabin that takes you to a look out, beautiful up there!

Feeding whiskey jacks while drinking beer and playing cribbage has gotto be one of the most canadian things you could do lol 😆 iv 100% had a exact same moment at our cabin out egan lake bc. Lots of friendly squirrels as well that you could hand feed. Ya know your canadian when eh? Lol

hope you guys kept the wildernest!!

Yes we are most definitely keeping it! We're working out a new mounting system. Since The Yeti was originally a 2wd truck the bed is different so we need to get creative. We'll be doing a video documenting all of that!

I think a fairlead is as good if not better than a winch and a fairlead. Especially when you're alone. #bold #pioneer

After lifting your rigs did you have to have custom drive shafts made.

Is this in the north or south end of the island? Heading over next week to the north end and looking for some places to check out (and not spill location)

Hey Bradley... So sorry for the helluva late reply... Reach out to us on IG if you ever have any more island questions! @ToyotaWorldRunners This was on the mid island - Nanaimo area.

@@ToyotaWorldRunners aw man. I have an 82 that's why and I just got it running right with a new Weber. Got a lot more plans for it. Love all old Toyota's. Your Yota now is also sick. Keep it going with the uploads. Its what influences us more to build our Yotas. Also check out my IG if you got a chance @Shaka_Overland

Here's a hint, don't find this cabin 😡 and don't give hints to it's where abouts.

@@braddavis5030 you act as if I'm not a respectful member of the off-roading/camping community. Life is too short to be this angry and negative.
@braddavis50303 жыл бұрын
I will have to give you credit for a video very well done as well as not directly sharing the whereabouts of the cabin in the video, the problem is you are sharing that it's out there period! You seem like a respectful couple but the problem is that showing or telling someone about a cabin you didn't build is disrespectful to those that worked hard to put it there and it will be one of the people who sees this or hears from you where it is that that the builders are up there cleaning up after next because they have no respect. When you come across a cabin show it respect by splitting and stacking some wood, pack out some garbage (especially with a pick up truck) or clean some dirty dishes the last guy left behind and maybe take the time to mention things like this in your video.

Hi Brad, we appreciate you taking the time to write this comment as it is an important topic, especially on the island. I take what you wrote to heart. We purposely did not disclose any directions or locations to this spot, and would never publicly. I've met the builders of this cabin, and they know that it is build on crown land (private lease, public weekend access I'm sure you know the details). There are many, MANY places we go on the island that never make it on to social media, not even in photos. We do that for the same reasons you mentioned. We are the people who pack out MORE than we bring in, be it empty bear cans or trashed camp fires and car parts. Understanding where you're coming from and will do out best to be diligent about keeping at risk spots as private as possible. Please understand that there are youtubers from the mainland who have a far bigger following than us (100,000) who come to spots much like this to showcase their adventures. We strive to be an inclusive place for people to discover new roads, but only those willing to put in the work to find them on their own will have the pleasure to see them in person. From one islander to another - We hear you.
