16:55 - They were talking about the gap *before* the spike, not the spike itself. You had just said how tough it was to jump in rapid succession. He was saying you didn't need to jump back-to-back. You could just run over the open gap and jump once over the spike. (They even went on to explain this shortly after.)

Fun fact, that I just found, sauté literally means jump(à la Mario) …and that makes sense, it’s kinda similar to one or two other words I’ve heard

Funny that someone in the chat thought that TA level seemed “doable.” Maybe compared to some really crazy ones, but Dave would have still had to navigate past the backwards treadmill and he hadn’t even gotten close to that part yet. I assume that there’s only about .1 second leeway in that level.
