BOVEY CASTLE COURSE VLOG PART 6
We are at Bovey Castle Golf Club in Devon on Dartmoor as part of the Dartmoor Golf Breaks series and playing 18 holes, Dan Hendriksen PGA Professional, Lester Barnes 0 handicap and Lee Whittaker 12 handicap. '

As myself and Lester struggled to complete the 59 at Torquay we have brought Lee in to help us to achieve the ongoing goal.
Bovey Castle is one of Dan's favourite golfing venues anywhere in the world and highly recommends a visit if you are in the Devon area.

What a week gentlemen. I’ve learned an awful lot over the last 6 days but perhaps the best lesson of all is to always ‘pop the collar early.’ Excellent advice amongst an epic attempt at a 59. Thanks gents. Loved it.

A very enjoyable series, so nearly made 59, it shows the best side of golf - the team game as you all contribute at different times. It was tough on Lee having to drive on the last three holes but he done good! A lot of fun but a daunting looking course - I think the scramble challenge works well and keeps us all interested all week. Thanks.

Koodo’s for Lee. You were able to channel the pressure and focus on those final 3 tee shots with excellent results. Apply that to the full round and with diligent work, scratch golf is in your future. This was an enjoyable series that exemplified how a positive attitude as displayed in Dan and Lester’s game can result in good play. A good lesson for all of us. Keep positive Lee.

I thought Lester’s putt on 16 was in when he hit it! Clutch tee shots from Lee! Very impressive! Dan, those wedges need some work which has to be blamed on the lockdown time. That course looks a lot like courses in central Ontario, minus the clubhouse. Great stuff and can’t wait for the next one! 😀

Absolutely fantastic stuff Dan and the boys. I really like the new addition of Lee, you guys make a good watch of golf. Can't wait to come home and play Bovey, that Devon deal sounds very good value! I've only been lucky enough to have a cream tea at Bovey and stand next to the putting green admiring the view, so looking forward to having a stroll around the course. Top stuff. David

I’ve watched all the episodes today and enjoyed it from start to finish 61 maybe 62🤷‍♂️🤣 but more importantly some good craic and some lovely views of the golf course, come on lee get that handicap down but you need to know your distances from 150 yards in as you can play so many shots with one club it’s not all power imagination is required, but with Dans help I’m sure you’ll come down but scratch is a big call, if you swing 80% with your driver you’ll become a much better ball striker and you’ll hit more fairways. As for Lester you just can see the hurt in his face when he hits a bad shot so cheer up Lester it’s only one game! Well done I enjoyed the series 👏👏👏

I have never seen Bovey Castle so brown. Your playing a different golf course at the moment with it being so dry. I prefer it when its had a bit of rain on it and greened up. I must say Its a enchanting place to play golf. It was called The Manor House Hotel, Moretonhampstead when i first discovered it by accident many years ago. it was a railway hotel(GWR) at one time. Think the other two courses mentioned are edge of moor courses. Good luck boys.

Well done guys great video again unfortunate you did mate it but great to watch I’m with lester on his common about lee getting a bit down on himself he had to play a different kind of game on this one but it will of given him an insight of how he will have to play if he wants to get lower and into single figures but also how much more relaxed you have to be with your game and not bash yourself when things go a little wrong I have a sign on my bag which reads CAUTION The toughest golf course is only 5”Long LOCTION Between Your Ears and that is so true anyway keep these videos coming dan

Lovely course and the building is beautiful. I am surprised they let Lee in dressed like that ! Great putt Lester, not sure how you did it with that thing. As for them wanting it back, haven't you cut off a few inches ?? Not sure they'll want it back ! You might get a bill though ! Ha ha !
