@ Es de Vries I might not be correct in this. But it's just an opinion. 1stly the bible teaches us from genesis 3 vs 15 that we humans are defeated. Therefore there is now a need for a Saviour. The main emphasis is now Jesus/Messiah/Saviour from the moment Adam and Eve sinned. Therefore genesis 3 vs 15 we hear of a Saviour(The Seed). What it means is in any topic and any chapter in the bible, we have to identify the battle of This Seed vs Satan. So when we get to Daniel 2, we have to understand basic points(world empires). Firstly, the fifth head cannot represent Papal Rome, because such a state of affairs did not exist until the 4th Century AD. John was writing in the 1st Century. Remember the 5th king had already fallen! Pagan Rome would have to be the 6th kingdom (one is). Furthermore the kings of Revelation 17:9-10 cannot refer to separate kingdoms: “Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. There are also seven kings (Strong's G935 "basileus"). Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time." This is because the seven heads belong to the one beast, which corresponds with the then current Roman Empire, whose capital was known as the city on seven hills. Compare the above with Revelation 17:12: “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings (Strong's G935 "basileus") who have received no kingdom (Strong's G932 "basileia") as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast." If the angel wanted to describe the heads as kingdoms, then he would have, and in Rev 17:10 John would have written "basileias", the Greek word for kingdoms and not "basileis", the Greek word for kings. In Daniel 7:17 the four distinct beasts are indeed first described as kings, but then in 7:23 the fourth beast is referred to as a fourth kingdom. The four beasts of Daniel 7 also correspond to the four kingdoms of Daniel 2. The kings of Daniel 7:17 therefore represent thier respective kingdoms. This is not the same as what is described in Revelation 17. All seven heads belong to the one beast, as do the ten horns (representing ten kings), which corresponds with the fourth beast of Daniel 7, which was the ancient Roman Empire, the fourth kingdom.

The color is scarlet because it is symbolic of the blood of the saints of the Lord. A woman in prophecy is always a metaphor for a church, in this case (Jezebel) it is the fallen temple of God. The false prophet, a lamb (Christ like) with two horns, and/but will speak like a dragon (a wolf in sheep's clothing), will be the beast (from out of the earth ... the USA) that will make an image unto the first beast from out of the sea, who received a deadly wound and his deadly wound was healed. The two horns are a metaphor for two (equal) kingdoms in one, church and state craft. Medo-Persia also is expressed as having two horns [Dan 8:3], but one was higher, (Persia) and eventually usurps the other. This is the image of the first beast from out of the sea (Papal Rome). Once the wall of separation of church and state is lost, then will the second beast from out of the earth become the image of the first beast, who claims the authority of both church and state. Even so, come Lord Jesus. Amen.

Yeah, I was also thinking maybe his interpretation is a bit off though maybe it's partially accurate. I more see it as the world just continues to get worse and worse order to disorder high quality to low quality. Hence going from gold all the way down to iron and clay.

@@mariemunzar6474 Danial was written after the fact. But I know it seems things are getting worse but in some ways much better. I think people perceive things getting worse because we are unsure when things change.
