It would have been crazy to see him get a knockout of one of these top guys, buy as a boxing fan and mma fan don't wanna see this shit ever happen again. We need to stop these crossover fights. They make 0 sense and Francis is one thing. It was his lifelong dream to box first. He got pushed mma ways by his coach. He didn't even know what mma was. And that goes to show you how difficult switching sports is and how different these sports are. Boxing isn't some fucking joke.

No it wasn't. Mma fans just didn't know what boxing is. Check Ruiz vs Tua, or Morrison vs Mercer, or Byrd vs Ibeabuchi,... those are brutal Knockouts. AJ vs Ngannou was just a pro boxer vs an amateur boxer.

Not necessarily. Some cases, yes. With the elite of the elite in boxing. Joshua, Crawford, Alvarez, etc. Same goes with MMA as well though. Could you imagine a boxer going up against someone like Tom Aspinall, Petr Yan, Alex Pereira, etc. Guys who have elite skills in all aspects of stand up...dude, nightmare for them.

Francis never should have turned southpaw in the very first round. Even the great Terence Crawford doesn’t switch stances in first round and he is the master. Soon as Ngannou switched AJ lined up that right hand and dropped him w it a few seconds later and Ngannou never really recovered. He would have lost either way but maybe it would have lasted longer and looked better

Anthony Joshua is a polished, skilled boxer, and was fighting in a large ring. This was not a good match for Francis Ngannou. Ngannou needs a year off to recover and may need to go back to MMA or retire.
