Thank you! I'm really sick of "Fans" bashing him and calling him gay because he's changed so much and his music is so different. Daniel is an amazing artist and he needs to evolve and change. He's way too talented not to! He's doing what makes him happy, and people are horrible to him because he simply grew up! I loved Silverchair too, and always will. But the Frogstomp and Freakshow era are long gone. People need to grow up! I see his anxiety and it's sad. He's always had it. It broke my heart when he said if he could do what he does for the rest of his life without being recognized and hounded, he would. All this negative crap against him, and the hate are going to drive him to suicide! He sees the negative and hateful things said about him and his new music, and I'm sure it bothers him. I love him to pieces and have since I was 15. He deserves to have some peace in his life, and in his heart!

@@justdev8965 But touring the world while being a 15 year old boy and hearing constant "Nirvana in Pajamas" and "The Chubby Kurt Cobain" write offs would be killer on a kid's impressionable mind. I don't think there's a kid in the world who would have thick enough skin to deal with the level of hatred and anger that he did and come away from it completely intact. Especially being an Aussie. We're a laid back bunch and the U.S. is a whole nother level - they're frikken crazy, the paparazzi are demonic little fuckers. I lived in Seattle when I was a young teenager (moved from Western Australia) and I was just a normal school kid,but Americans are cruel and Aussies aren't usually exposed to their special brand of mental. The ONLY thing different about his eyes are the eyeliner he wears these days.. He is still the same shy, anxiety ridden, socially awkward man but very endearing. I came to the realization that this is how he was meant to look a few months ago. During the height of Silverchair was when he had his eating disorder, so of course he looks extremely different. I felt kind of thrown for a loop how much the contrast was from watching a 2003 concert, then seeing him with extremely short hair and muscles come 2005's Big Surf concert, but since then, he hasn't aged or looked any different. I think we are just used to the extremely thin androgynous boy from Silverchair.

Klutzy Mutt , he just looked so frail and ill, you could tell it in his voice that he was really struggling. I felt sad for him. I think he looked best at Big Day Out Gold Coast 2002 . With the black and gold shirt , he looked magical! 💛
