He’s gorgeously appealing. He never stops looking at the person he’s speaking to unless he looks up at audience with a toothy grin, brings the audience in, like at a dinner conversation with friends. Warm and generous in conversation, boyish charm, utterly lovable puppy dog enthusiasm. Cocks his head, falls back in laughter. Try to think if he would be as appealing were it not for British accent. I love African accents, subscribe to several podcasts from South Africa because of buoyant hosts and delicious accents. You can hear their smiles. But this Daniel....Actor made for this time....showstopper. Just who we need for this time.

@DVN No, I don't think the OP meant to express racism in their comment. Because dark skin is often looked down upon in America, Black people sometimes remind one another that our dark skin is just as beautiful and praiseworthy as light skin. The intention isn't to put down other other races. Rather, the goal is to remind dark-skinned people that, in a world in which their skin is often viewed as inferior to that of white people, they are just as valuable as light-skinned people. I hope this helps! :)

@houseofvenusMD
@houseofvenusMD 5 жыл бұрын
@rdokoye yes we are perceived that way because of jokes amongst ourselves...it has nothing to do with Arab and transatlantic slave trades or western mass media (being sarcastic lmao). The most unhealthy thing a black person (or anyone) can do is to consistently think of oneself from someone else's perspective. That is a pre-cursor to a lot of anxiety-related disorders...literally. The only people that do that are children, slaves, servants, and the mentally ill. Think about it...always worrying about everyone else? That did not arise because blacks make jokes about other blacks. Remove your self-image from the rest of the world and you will be able to find the humor in OPs joke. Would you have gotten mad if she said "all white mothers love pumpkin spiced lattes"? Or "all Indian mothers have nice saris"?
