I love this concept of mindsight and Daniel Siegel's way of getting it across!

What is mind , it's forms and properties and shapes. U know shapes- state of mind . Happiness. Free will .

As I become older, I believe I subconsciously practice mindsight. I stumbled upon this video while attempting to grasp his Brainstorm piece of literature.

It's a nice concept, although executive control or cognitive control could be linked here too because it's also important in regulation.

It's at once too simplistic and not very new. This is a rediscription of mindfulness and behavioural therapy. It's useful, to some extent and in some cases. And then there are other cases -- usually the very complex ones -- where this observing function is not available to observe problematic patterns, because those patterns feel very true to the patient, are ego syntonic, or the patient has become so good at splitting and projecting they don't even notice they are doing it. In other words, I'm sure this is useful (and already existed) for the neurotics among us.

I think the difficulty in defining the mind is the problem that we use the mind to define it. And it seems to be a non-issue when we use the mind to define all other things...but defining the mind using the mind....seems odd. Some may way as in philosophy, you cannot use the word in a definition. I don't think this is the same concept. The mind is a faculty. It is what we have at our disposal to use and discern reality and therefore...we use it to define itself

What's mind . My mind is me . Me is my mind. So what's mind. It's organisational structure and the layers and the dimensions

Mind sight. Lets talk about it. How atoms becomes molecules. How molecules becomes selfreplicating system. How selfreplicating system becomes cellular machinery. How cellular machinery becomes living cell . How living cells becomes living tissues. How tissues becomes functional organ . How functional organ becomes fully organized organ system . How fully organized organ system becomes a functional brain system. How brain becomes conscious and how consciousness becomes self-awareness. How self-awareness becomes a living conscious self-aware individual with its own unique self identity . That's what mind sight really is in the universe.
