Not even a very strong climber here, grip strength is my biggest weakness, but I still have to remember when I shake someone's hand to go easy on it. After rolling up or popping a few people's hands I felt bad.
@johnd9357

Psuffix climbers don’t necessarily have strong hands. Alex honnold tested his grip strength and his strongest was 98 pounds. He wouldn’t even be able to close a CoC #1 at that level of grip strength. If you think you have a strong grip, buy a set of CoC grippers and prepare to be humbled. If you can close a 2 on video I’ll personally PayPal you 20 bucks. I closed the 2, but I’m not a climber. Just have a good grip.

@@johnd9357 I have to remind you that Alex Honnold probably couldn't make it into the semi on this competition, he is not a strong climber compare to those peoples in the video, but he is doing well on speed and free solo. Pinch strength is necessary for climbing which requires strong hands.

Allan Zhou yup, comp climbers and boulderers have incredible grip; more than in pretty much any other sport, climbers get insane crimp, pinch and slab strength. It’s funny that guy mentioned honnald because they did the same test on Megos and he was unreasonably strong.
