Cesar did joined Mortimus (reactor) in a reaction and that he had said to Eli that he'd like to try the high note. Thus it came about..... 😊 The talent of them all of them is overwhelming.

Yes, it’s Cesar on the high note. Omar has done videos previously with Voiceplay. His brother is EJ Cardona who is with the group Voctave.

This video is seen as a sequel to their video for Warrior. It's some time later, the zombies have gotten Earl and J None, and the group as picked up Omar and Cesar along the way.

You’re right that Cesar (THE BARITONE, I’ll remind you) is the one hitting that F-F#5. And yes, you’ve seen Omar in several things. A lot of folks would love to see him become a permanent member-and while I get some of the reasons they might want to stay with the four (frees up the budget for many different featured guests, plus maybe they’re holding J.None’s place open?), I’d also be there for it if they did bring Omar on as a regular, because I just love his voice. Great reaction! By the way, VP just released a couple minis (they have a Voiceplay Mini channel), including Patsy Cline’s Crazy-Cesar gets the lead, and it’s awesome!

Little correction, highest notes were Ab5 and G5 and not F-F# like many people think.

I HIGHLY recommend watching the reaction video Mortius did with Caesar of voiceplay to this song! A lot of cool insider facts and Caesar says that he sang the highest note.

Now you should go back and check out their cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition”, and the cover of “Dragon Born Comes” from Skyrim. Both feature Omar. I ‘m thinking he may be the next full fledged member of Voiceplay!

And EJ's wife is in American Sirens, who sang Mele Kelikimaka with Geoff on his solo channel. Another fun fact: Omar and Cesar are best friends. Does seem like he'd be a good fit as the permanent fifth member.

Thank you for another great reaction. Yes , it is Cesar that hit that high note at the end followed by Omar then Eli under them. Cesar wasn't sure he could do it but he knocked it out of the park. They were dressed in post apocalyptic clothing & it was filmed in an old abandoned school house. I believe Layne was making the sound of critters scurrying around as they do in an old rundown vacant building. Nobody does it like Voice Play. It is better than Aerosmith's version. I believe it follows Warriors beautifully.

Ya know I wasn't sure when Cesar joined how he would fit with already having a tenor but my word that man is a serious talent and seems such a nice person. Im so glad they have him.

I've learned from watching these boys a million and one times that when Eli goes high, his hands usually go up but in this video, he keeps them at his chest level. Love your reactions!

Check out Dragon Born. Omar was in that one too. Caesar and Omar are good friends and they love working with each other. And its good to see Eli, the Rocker, letting loose. Those years on the road with a rock band show through more often now.

I was watching for your reaction on that slide up at the beginning. It mirrored my reaction when I first heard it, yet most reactors seem unimpressed. When Ceasar did the reaction with Mortius, we learned that Omar also was singing on that slide, although they all started in unison and broke off and went up at different times.

When you listen again, (because I’m pretty sure you’re going to 😂) listen for Geoff on that really high Dream On chorus. It took me probably 25 or 30 listens before I got to where I could concentrate on something besides the three tenors over there screaming their hearts out. When they start, Geoff starts slowly going up (an octave?) each time and goes quite high just about at the crescendo and then drops way back down low again. It’s subtle but it’s really really pretty. And I do have a question because I know you always talk about mouth position. I noticed a lot of times when Eli‘s singing his mouth is almost like an inverted triangle but not always. Does that have something to do with the tone of his voice? Because he has such an incredibly versatile voice. I didn’t notice it a lot on this particular piece, but on a lot of them where he’s sort of crooning it’s very distinctive. See? We do listen to you! 😉

Regarding Eli's hands: Yes, it makes sense. I notice that he often almost pantomimes with his hands. If the lyric is about thinking, he points to his head. If the lyric is "...the heart," he touches his chest. Or, he conducts himself: when he's belting out an intense note, he moves one (or both of his) hand(s) from the side to right in front of himself while gradually closing his fist(s). If he's holding a steady repeating sequence, he "walks" his hands forward, one over the other. I'm guessing that if Eli was singing that high note in this song, one hand would go high, fist clamped and head turned to the side, then the hand coming down as he holds the note and the head turnes back to center. It's fun to watch his "sign language"!

The high note is Cesar. He absolutely killed it! Omar sang with them in The Dragonborn Comes and Superstition...and probably a couple of others. He is Cesar's best friend too, so i expect we will hear a lot more of his angelic, crystal bell voice. Voiceplay does it again!

The highest part in the climax is the melody, with Cesar hitting those G#5s. Then Omar and Eli are on the "lower" harmonies, with Omar reaching up to F5 and Eli reaching up to C5.

If you want to check out a couple other classic rock covers VoicePlay has done, look for Carry On Wayward Son (original song by Kansas) and Don't Stop Believing (original by Journey). VP kills it. Oh yeah, Cesar admitted he was the one who hit the highest notes here in another YT video.

with voices that close in pitch I wouldn't be surprise if we are getting a beat frequency filling out the sound ( what barbershop quartets call the fifth voice)

The mean thing is that you can't figure out how Layne is doing that sound, because you don't see him actually doing it. He said doing it looked so stupid on camera that he had to do something different that they could film instead. 😂

I'm kinda sad that they didn't keep the weird bridge part where the guitars stay at Caug7 or whatever and one voice keeps moving up chromatically, they decided to do some Phrygian stuff or whatever it was supposed to be

@Todd Reed As much as I would like Omar to become the next member of Voiceplay, I personally like that they have that fifth space open for guest artists to join them....Any of their guests could easily fit in to become the fifth member, whether that is Omar, Rachel Potter, Ashley Diane or Jose Rosario Jr.....But how would they choose....

Hey Danielle, that was pretty cool. Quite an interesting take on that tune. On a side note, I’ve noticed that 4th Impact hasn’t been reacted to in a while. They do have some of their own music out. Hi! Could you please react to Chanel - SloMo (grand final eurovision)?? Eurovision is a music contest that takes place every year in Europe. Chanel is the representative of Spain this year, she has finally been third beating all the records of Spain in terms of scoring and being in the best position since the 90's!!! She has done an amazing performance with a lot of dancing and amazing staging while singing great. I really enjoy watching your videos and I would really love to know your opinion about her. I think you will love her!
