What's fun is LMM wrote this song basically on a dare- he wrote it to prove to Disney that he could thoroughly introduce each of the characters in less than 5 minutes. Because Disney was very hesitant about such a large ensemble of main characters.

Unfortunately, that was exactly the problem I had with this song the first time I watched the movie. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic song and I love the movie to death. But on my first viewing, Family Madrigal not only crams a dozen characters with backstories and exposition into five minutes, but it's also sung at such a fast tempo (especially towards the end) that I found it almost impossible to keep up with the lyrics and the characters being introduced. After the song was over, I immediately had to pause the movie and rewatch it on KZfaq--this time with the lyrics onscreen--so that I could properly process it all.

2:21 I also want to point out how lightly Mirabel taps on Dolores's door versus Camilo's door because Dolores has the gift of incredible hearing and it still matches the rhythm of the song, very cool detail.

I've never noticed before that when Felix and Agustin are brought in and Mirabel pushes them off camera to either side, their voices follow in the headphones so one's in the left ear and one's in the right.

Ever since Ive watched Encanto Ive been watching reactions for it - I have literally watched around 50 reaction videos probably but yours are BY FAR the best. I love your energy and I love how you explain what we hear and at the same time you pay attention to the visuals, the details and seem enamoured with the story. It's such a JOY to watch. Can one thing about this song, Marbella make sure that you didn't forget she was apart of the family. "I am apart of Madrigal Family, whoa" Then followd by "BUT I'm apart of Madrigal Family, too" How sad this line is.

I really enjoyed watching a video with Lin-Manuel Miranda talking about the songs themselves and creating them and the special things he put in while composing them. It really makes you notice even more and appreciate all the tiny details he put in. He’s really impressive as a composer/writer.

Yeah, I enjoy how much of a musical this movie is (same with Moana). When Lin takes part in Disney stuff soundtrack wise, those always end up being some of my absolute favorites. His stuff is just so much fun!!! Btw if you want more fun Lin doing Lin, listen to his movie he did with Sony Vivo. He both wrote and voice acted for that movie, very much his animated passion project. Btw, for Encanto and Moana, I can’t stop listening to their soundtracks-they’re just so good, literally top notch!!!

I really enjoy your channel. Your reactions and how you point out different aspects of the music and vocals makes me hear the songs in new ways. Thanks for making this content! P. S.: I don't know how much (if any) control you have over the ads, but the Surface Pressure and Family Madrigal vids both were spammed with ad breaks every 2.5 minutes (the unskippable kind, too 😢). It was extremely jarring while watching through the entire video because the music would be playing then it gets interrupted abruptly by two 5 second Palmolive/Crest toothpaste commercials, followed by 90 seconds of you and the music only to be broken again by two 10-15 second ads for...Palmolive and Crest 💀

what I like is that people, especially Latinos, can identify with a member of the family madrigal whether is Mirabel, Isabella, Bruno, or anyone else because they have completely different personalities.

Ever notice something? The mural of the family, looks almost exactly like the mural of the royal family in Tangled. Meaning, the Madrigal's are like royalty to this town.

the thing about Bruno is that he didn't "one day disappear" he actually got kicked out for showing people the bad side of the future. He was never a bad person and was left to rot in a hidden room next to the hall (behind a painting) the lore behind this movie is quite interesting

No,,,, he was never kicked out actually. He willingly left BECAUSE of his vision that included MIRABEL to protect her. No one told him to leave, but it’s not like it wasn’t building up to that considering how much the town demonized his powers and him as a person because of things he couldn’t control.
