It's good. It sounds like it could've been a 90's or even an 80's ballad.

this song and "real close" are comparable, respectively, to "god give me strength" and "a boat on the sea," the efforts of edna in the movie "grace of my heart." in each case... the first song is overworked, overthought, just not very good or meaningful. but the second one is nice, less "forced" in feel and truly pleasant.
