I compiled a list of Danya’s sayings: - When you find a good move, look for a better one - Don’t let your bishop bite on granite - Your pieces don’t always have to be conquering Mount Everest/ distributing the Covid vaccine - The threat is stronger than the execution - When your opponent plays passively, strike in the center - No need to reinvent the wheel, just develop pieces normally - Bad bishops defend good pawns - You want to perform a task with the piece of least possible value - Sometimes your knights need to go to Frankfurt airport - Keep the tension - Something something potential energy - Queen should be the supporting actress - Loose pieces drop off - A Type 1 Undefended Piece is a piece that is not protected by any other pieces. - A Type 2 Undefended Piece is a piece that is only protected by one other piece (Overloading tactics arise from this) - An outpost is not inherently good - When you’re considering a multiple-move tactic, try flipping the order - If your opponent tries to stop your idea, ask yourself the Sam Shankland Question: What if I do it anyway? - Doubled pawns aren’t inherently bad - Lastly: Rules are meant to be broken

@joakimquensel597
@joakimquensel597 2 жыл бұрын
After the analyse I think Daniel was pretty sure as well. But as a KZfaq streamer and respected chess player he just can't take the risk of falsely accuse someone. Let's say it turned out the opponent was indeed a GM playing incognito, then he would look like a really bad looser. And he did not want to take that risk.
@Mathijs_A
@Mathijs_A 2 жыл бұрын
@@joakimquensel597 I'm sorry, but it totally doesn't seem that way to me. Daniel clearly stated "if I suspect someone I'm open about it". The moves from his opponent, although extremely good, also seemed very findable by a human (I am only 2250 myself and naturally never play this well, but I did understand the ideas of the moves). Sure, he was cheating, but Daniel honestly seemed to just not think so.

@@TimJapan lol everyone was like stop accusing him of cheating and the guy was proven to be cheating, later on, figures. One thing I'm surprised about is how he played so quickly, I figured cheaters have to take longer to check the best move than play it especially in the end game when he had 10 seconds. Maybe that's why he finally made a blunder and lost his rook.

@@epixtille7069 it's because while he was cheating, he's probably a pretty decent chess player himself without cheating. so he'll play the obvious moves. and plus, danny is explaining his moves (taking up time) so the opponent probably had time to look at the top 2-3 variations for each move before danny played them and quickly knew how to respond.

you see some people just don't live a good life, so what do they do? randomly accuse people online, I've faced a fair share of cheaters myself and the biggest giveaway is the move time (cheating if it's consistent) and people refraining from making obvious moves, not the accuracy.

In this kind of game I would say 98% accuracy means he's a cheater or a GM. But looking at his profile and game statistics (even before he got banned) shows he is not at GM level. It would be different if he scored this high against an opponent that didn't play as good as Daniel did, and that he got a material advantage early in the game. Then it's much easier to score high on accuracy.

Where Danya said C5 was the only move, I've seen rook f e8 and knight f8 recommended in that set up. I wonder if the computer would've like that? The knight has some good options from f8.

I had to stop the game portion of the video and take a break… 3 times! I could smell the wood burning (meaning my brain overheating). It took quite a bit for me to follow, as much as I could anyway. Thank you so much GM Danya for both your sincerity and clarity. You have a wonderful character, young man!

After 11.c4 the best move is Re8. Because it doesnt allow the rook takes the control of the seventh row and allow the Nf8 preparing for Ke6 or Ng6.

Beautifully played rook and pawn endgame by the opponent, his Kh4 Kg3 manoeuvre with h5 to finish was a great demonstration of staying sharp in a winning position. Very lucky that the stalemate cheese move Re7 didn't get punished 😂
