I used to get pissed, but in the end if you are playing 10 min, you opponent has 10 mins and can allocate the time as they wish. It is a waste of time I agree, but it is really hard to not punish someone actually using their time and someone that lets it run out

Nothing but love for Levy, but his opening videos aren't nearly as good as Danya's because Danya explains in great depth about piece placement and natural moves in each opening, weak squares, attacking opportunities, how to be solid , how to go crazy, basically everything a learner needs, whereas Levy would give us some good lines to get winning positions without such general ideas.

Thank you for that distinction between static and dynamic! I myself had them confused to be the same! But what a difference between them indeed. Dynamic, usually temporary and can be good, (due to piece activity). Static is more difficult with long term weaknesses/abnormalities, not necessarily but can be bad instead -- just neither being solid, usually.

People rated 1600-2000 are the most toxic in my experience. Below that most people don't take the game too seriously, above that players actually respect each other somewhat, but these guys are both elitists and mad about not being able to advance to master ranks. Whenever you see a toxic comment about how someone is trash, if you ask that person's rating it is GUARANTEED to be in that area. Whether or not that is actually true is another thing. These specimens also almost always denounce Levy Rozman and Eric Rosen, because they try to make chess fun/accessible. Think of them as failed clones of Ben Finegold: just as toxic, but worse at the game and completely unfunny

What an amazing situation we have... a disease so deadly most have to be tested to even know if they have it or the sniffles *(with worldwide overall death rates DOWN from the previous year before "covid", along with regular flu deaths magically disappearing and suddenly the EXACT same # of "new covid deaths" appearing in their place...shocking!!....THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL WANT TO USE YOUR BRAIN AND CONNECT THE BLATANT DOTS of what that undoubtedly means)* all of this along side a long term untested vaccine *so safe* companies refuse to release it unless they can't be sued for mass injuries/deaths that it causes. Imagine all for the sake of fitting in/virtue signaling one takes literal gene editing injections that every authority applicable(CDC, WHO, Fauci, etc.) ADMITS were rushed and "approved" *without having completed ANY long-term testing*(the same long term tests that have prevented all other mRNA vaccines from coming to the market due to horrific long-term health problems for a huge percentage of those they were tested on....THIS IS THE TESTING THEY DIDNT DO THIS TIME!) and because of this FACT none of the pharmaceutical companies that make this vaccine were willing to give it to ANYBODY UNLESS THE GOVERNMENT MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SUE THEM FOR ANY DAMAGES/DEATHS! How pathetic must one be to take insanely dumb risks to their health all in the name of "fitting in" or, the only other option, they are too ignorant to understand what is really going on and they just continue to act like the NPC they have become due to mass propaganda. after Knight h6 and h3 the Knight is akward and if bishop g6 g4 and white has a really good position. from my experience in very similar positions knight e7 is usually the way because if a3 g4 is tried you have h5. also by putting pressure on the d4 pawn it makes it impossible to hunt the lightsquare bishop with Nh4 which might be concerning to poeple unfamiliar with this positiontype, but this idea is usually not good anyway as if the knight recaptures on f5 the pressure on d4 will usually be too much, meaning that after Nh4 in a case where there would currently be 2 defenders and 2 attackers on the d4 pawn after the knight left, its often not even possible to capture the bishop on f5 as the d4 pawn could simply not be defended one more time (e.g. the 2 defenders are whites queen and darksquare bishop and the 2 attackers are queen on b6 and knight on c6)

Quick question around 8:46 why was he not happy to trade the knight for the dark square bishop when he was happy to do so a few turns prior? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
@goodolcharliebrown9850
@goodolcharliebrown9850 2 жыл бұрын
In the latter position, the exchange would lead to a non-favorable change of pawn structures ( after f pawn takes knight): the center (e and d file) is pretty locked and controlled by white and the f file is open for white’s rook, hence, the exchange activates white’s rook. Also we would trade an active knight for a rather passive bishop. As Danya says, always think about what changes after an exchange. A few moves earlier, the exchange would open up the g file for us, so that we can pressure the normally short castled king of white. Hence, we would have gotten activity.
