The funniest part of the highlights is that Dimitrov works hard as hell to finish each point well, earn his points, and taking the lead. And in the next segment we see Medvedev, like jumping 5 games ahead😂

dimitrov just plays a much more flashy style of tennis than medvedev. most of med's won points are off errors from dimitrov. not saying he's a bad player, he's clearly great, but he's not very entertaining

its a highlight video. i don't understand medvedev fans wanting people to include 10 minutes of dimitrov hitting unforced errors. Don't get me wrong, those unforced errors are for sure a product of medvedev's skill as a defensive player, but those points don't belong in a highlight video. if you want to appreciate medvedev, watch the actual match, because a highlight video just isn't something that's designed to showcase medvedev's strengths as a player.

I have just recently become a fan of Medvedev's game. Nothing flashy, but he is the guy that you don't want to see on the other side of the net if your legs are feeling a little iffy.

It is only me or some one else put an attention, that in those "highlights" 90% of shown points are points , won by Dimitrov. And not simply won, but "in style", with confidence and big class superiority... The only question that remains is - then how did it happend that Medvedev have won the match...And not simply won, but 3:0. That means in this footage Dimitrov is toatally dominating the game. In reality he lost 0:3...

Dimitrov didn’t disrupt Med’s game at all. He was mixing up his own game sure, but Med is a defensive/offensive base liner. Coming to the net, moving forward, or moving him from side to side is exactly what he wants, he has the answer for all of it. But drop shotting, moving him forward and backwards? That’s how you beat him. He ALWAYS looked uncomfortable moving forward unless it was an easy volley, and he is tall so executing a strong drop shot every now and then will be effective.

Simple and true answer to all of the comments 'why there are way more Dimitrov highlight' : Because Dimitrov made 85 % percent of the creative shots in this game. He was building the points and Daniil was defending and returning the ball back. How would the highlights look with mistake after mistake from Dimitrov (because actually Medvedev's points were patiently expected mistakes coming from Dimitrov). Of course this does not excuse Grigor who was inconsistent in the important moments.

Dimitrov doesn't have a strong serve. This is the difference between him and the greats. The greats like Lendl, Sampras, and even Federer got a lot of free points from service aces. Look at these highlights, you see very few aces hit by him. By contrast, Medvedev has a strong serve, and you can see he got some free points.

@susa47273 жыл бұрын
I think Kyrgios has the best strategy against him. Trying to outrally Medvedev is basically a lost cause (other than for Nadal). Instead, hit excessive dropshots to try to force Medvedev to come to the net, where he is not nearly as dominant.

A pure demonstration of consistency from medvedev vs skills from dimitrov. Dimitrov has very good footwork and timing with his shots, but his reliance to hit everything perfect is his biggest downfall, you can see if he doesn’t plant his foot in time or if his doesn’t have a perfect swing motion then he makes unforced errors. Medvedev is the total opposite, very sloppy foot work but with big top spin he just need to get the ball over
