Plug the position at 4:17 into stock fish and it says -3 for black until you actually play the move Nelson plays

How do you know when it's correct to sac the bishop on f7?
@ChessVibesOfficial
@ChessVibesOfficial 2 жыл бұрын
In longer time control games I would really try to think through a lot of the options black might try and visualize as far ahead as I could. It doesn't have to end in checkmate, but as long as you see the king getting open and you see some ideas to follow up with an attack, that's usually good enough. DON'T sacrifice it if you immediately see a way black can get their king to safety after taking the bishop. Hope that helps you!

Sorry for the stupid question, but I'm new, what game is thát, would love to be able to analyse the game afterwards like thát.... Won my first game against a qualified player yesterday, the fourth game that I have played in my adult life, and had You, Nelson Lopez, in my mind all the time, used what I had seen here, there were some nervous moments, but it all worked out perfectly, got his queen eventually, and was able to get it home from there....!!! - Have "taught" this guy billards for the last year an a half, and he has become a bit too good at it, so it felt very good to beat HIM at his own game, thát was a moment to remember, so a HUGE thankyou from me....!!!

Bxf7 is just straight up giving away a piece ;/ After Ke6 he is busted though. I would recommend sending game to Levy for guess the elo ^^ I bet he will say 1000 :D

Not that easy. After Bxf7, Ne5+, if Ke8 then Qb3, black's position still in danger. I bet you'll lose against this NM many times.
@DonFreeq
@DonFreeq 2 жыл бұрын
@@Danumurti18 For sure I would lose many =D It's not hate, just pointing out that Bxf7 is extremelly dubious and doesn't work. Better to do it in funny way than just copycat what engine says (btw. If I remember correctly -2.5). I get it's for funzzies and audience, but for my taste it's a little bit too much. Didn't like that yolo, though for sure there are people who enjoyed it, so I'm not criticizing. Simply pointing out it didn't work.

@@DonFreeq yes with engine it will sure not work, but even at GM level, move like that are common in blitz.
