@@StickManVSI’m 5’5” and it hasn’t really been an issue. Confidence and personality is more important than height because most women are looking for a guy that has his life together and is fun to be around. It is a preference and some women just won’t date shorter guys, and that’s alright, but most women I’ve met don’t care about it nearly as much as you’d think. You cant change it so don’t worry about it, and don’t feel like you have to “make up” for it. Just be confident in yourself and the people who like you for you will come.

I thought it was odd that my best friend who is this 6 foot tall Amazonian woman has a preference for short adorable nerdy guys who are often effeminate and/or younger which is usually against every norm for the ideal male. Luis Gomes The shortness often makes me still feel like a boy. That's my point. Danny overcame it and doesn't care, which I envy. Standing so low to the ground still bothers me and makes being confident harder than it should be. But yeah, it's all on how I look at it. I just haven't beaten the self-consciousness yet.

Maybe start trying to hook up with tall girls, either until you get rejected so much you grow a thick skin or you bang one and gain a lot of confidence. Only through pain it is possible to recover lost self confidence. Danny DeVito had to put him self out there for the entre world to make fun of and humilliate him, in an industry full of tall people to be succesful.

When I was in high school, I was bothered by being 5'9" because I had a lot of friends who were taller, and I had friends who were girls that teased because I was "short" (its average height, but I was shorter, definitely). And it bothered me so much then because I felt like I SHOULD be growing. I ate right, I exercised, the whole thing. When I got to 19 or 20, I realized I was done growing, at least not in any dramatic fashion, and it was like a wave of confidence because I just accepted it. I am who I am, and everyone in my life who has a positive influence, or is just a friend DOESNT CARE. Or if they do, they're usually just a negative person anyway.

I interpret her asking to be a form of consideration. Sure it may bring attention to something he’s possibly insecure about, but it would be ignorant to think people don’t already know the subject of his possible insecurity. In other words, it’s already obvious that he’s short, so bringing attention to it isn’t doing any harm. But asking him his view on the subject is taking his feelings directly in to account. This is also from the perspective of a man who is 5”4’

My Idol was footballing legend Jimmy "Jinky" Johnstone of Glasgow Celtic, all 5ft 1in of him, between the mid 60s and early 70s wee Jinky was at his peak and was easily the most skilful and entertaining football player in Europe at that time, this was a time when football was played on muddy, sodden lumpy pitches with a heavy wet leather ball not the bowling green lawns they play on today and add in every hatchet man defender in Europe had him in their sights, wee Jinky just worked his magic and left hulking defenders in his wake. RIP wee man.
