@@scattygirl1 , It was, as you say, the best of both worlds -technically excellent and artistically, emotionally breathtaking. But I sensed some chemistry from the 1st dance (their great cha cha) and definitely in the 2nd dance, their waltz to the song, "Never Tear Us Apart." Danny himself stated that 2nd dance turned into something very special for the both of them.

Jeanette Burgess, Let's try to right the overturned apple cart. Go to the sites of the producers of the James Bond movie franchise. Ask them to cast Danny as the next Bond. Danny would make a fantastic Bond. Danny has even already played the action hero amazingly well as the hero who saves people from a burning building on Holly. Danny was also voted the "Sexiest Man" in all of Soapdom. Danny Mac is muscular, a great actor, and intelligent.

Get over it 🙄🙄🙄 it's not the only year the best wouln't/didn't win and Ore and Joanne were every bit deserving winners; from zero to hero against others with comparatively vast amounts of experience and the better overall dancer in the final.
@dajtoad1
@dajtoad1 3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, Danny made mistakes in the final, Ore didn't. Sometimes performances in the final don't matter, because one person will already have such a huge following going in that pretty much the only thing that can stop them is not showing up (e.g. Tom Chambers). They win because of their performances over the course of the competition, not just the final. But in this case, the vote must have been split between them (as some will never vote for dancers with prior training) and when Danny stumbled, enough went for Ore to give him the win. Personally, I reckon it was quite close.

Tracey-Ann Wisdom I think it's because a white guy often called a ringer or an obvious winner won last year. They want Louise or Ore to win this year so it can be a different story. R M to be honest, I've researched traditional argentine tango and started learning it, and none of the strictly A.Ts are like the traditional one, and although this was much faster, it has the depth and connection in every move that is more similar to argentine tango than any of the others. they move as one and there is a sense of conversation and connection between them and thats what A.T is all about, no matter the tone or speed. every couple is different and every dance is different. just my opinion anyway.

It's really shameful. To me this AT was miles ahead of any other this series and certainly more professional and classy than the one Louise and Kevin did last week. They should have stuck to their instinct. I saw the interview on Friday ITT. Still within the dance they could have asked for some 'breather' within the routine to show the sensuality and fluidity of this dance. This 'speedy gonzalas' approach means the entire routine can't be a 10 dance, though the hooks and flicks were beautifully executed...

phenomenal footwork here! as this argentine tange wasn't danced on a specific argentine tango piece of music to me it felt it actually changed the "traditional story telling" of the dance.. this story was not so much about desire, sensuality building up to have the gaucho and the girl "end up.... somewhere..", it became more a story of a conflict rising and instead of desire building up it would lead to a break up. I thought that was very original and powerful

Irene Enghardt yes!! I'm not alone! Yet there is still elements of the intimacy, as the passion in which they argue is almost like a re-awakening of the passion of first love. And the anger and hurt causes their hearts to beat again with the same intensity of a first love. They have a bond drawing them together. It's less discovery And more re-discovery. They do the dance they know so well but the trust is gone and new passion flooded with distain.

I think they fully understood the sensual nature of the dance, but, the song is about cheating, and the introduction set the scene for an argument. It was like he was sort of disgusted with her, but also the romantic chemistry between them lined every movement, because they are so attuned. Ugh, words cant express, it was like watching a section of a film and without words you feel their entire life story. It's usually like two new lovers expressing passion for the first time, but this was like a mature couple reawakening passion in the emotional battle of a painful ending and betrayal. This is very rarely the theme of the argentine tango. But nevertheless it feels like it captures the very essence of the dance.

Esther Ninsiima, And the story behind the song is even more interesting. The writer later stated that the lyrics were all based on erroneous information! Seems the young lady he was smitten with was no "betrayer" at all, but he did not find that out until years after the song had been out. A man had erroneously told him she was leaving town to be with an old flame, but she herself, years later, told him (the writer) she'd only left because she'd been offered a job in another town! Needless to say, he was Floored!

When I watch these two it's genuinely hard to tell who is the professional dancer because they are both equally amazing. Danny Mac is incredible- this dance had some very complicated choreography but he nailed every single step. Plus it doesn't hurt that he and his partner have got chemistry as well as the moves.

A public vote the BBC are refusing to make 'public' A crying shame, I bet Danny could cry tears of rage...all the hard work for nothing. As you say judges could not have been more transparent re who they wanted to win. it's a disgrace

Angie Gatfield, What's interesting about the song is the writer of it said he finally learned the truth that makes the lyrics a huge mistake! He'd been smitten w/ a lady, but was erroneously (deliberately?) told she was leaving town to go back to an old love. He wrote the song w/o even talking w/ her about it. Years later he saw her & finally asked HER & she said there was NO "old flame!" She'd only gone to another town because she'd found a better job there! The whole song was based on a LIE - perhaps perpetuated by a man who'd wanted the young lady for himself and tried to get him (the writer) out of the picture or perhaps who was just repeating idle, False gossip!
