I've always thought the tentative chemistry between Aaron and Jackson was very natural and believable, especially since Danny was dealing with something completely new with playing a gay character - and he was able to convey those emotions into his performance as it was unknown territory for his character, too. Am also snickering at the people who were saying that Danny will never be able to portray attraction or have proper, passionate scenes (including kisses) with blokes. Fast forward to 2014 and absolutely NO-ONE could say that anymore 😍

All the attention for you as a person when your acting resonates with people must be hard when you are 20. Give him time to mature, he can only become an even better actor. And he is mesmerizing as an actor from time to time.

Each interview I watch they pronounce Aaron's last name differently. Lol. Amazon actor is Danny Miller.

I respect Danny for being honest with his fans. Having said that, I think he has already peaked with his role as "Aaron" last year during the "coming out" storyline. He was brilliant in showing us the suffering and angst that can plague a gay man who suffers with internalized homophobia. (On par with Heath Ledger's performance in Brokeback Mtn.) However, When it comes to same-sex love and affection, my expectations are vastly lower in that he will do well in that department. If he's in

Contd. Don't get me wrong but sometimes I feel Danny Miller deliberately doesn't want to be passionate and intimate... Because I guess its not a big deal since they are actors afterall and its their profession... Anyways, I just hope with the new guy we get to see more intimacy and passion in Danny Miller's portrayal of Aaron... Thanks Jon for the upload....

I know what all of you complaining mean but: - Marc didn´t do better when he came to this same show some months ago - I think the problem on both occasions was the show in itself and the stupid questions. If you watch Danny´s (Marc has never done more) interviews on This Morning he has always seemed mature and explained all very well - He is only 20 (and I know it has nothing to do with this but he is also so sexy)

1) No actor who is "homophobic" would agree to play a gay character. 2) Danny is by far the most dramatically gifted actor on Emmerdale. 3) Having to answer the same questions with the same answers is more of an indication that the same answers are being asked over and over even though the story hasnt progressed. 4) Where is Danny's dad in Australia? Is he performing? Id go see him.

I think the degree to which one can be judged in the role is implied both by the involvement of the role and the actor's talent. I've seen straight men play much more involved roles of gay characters than Danny Miller, however I wouldn't say that because the roles are more involved, makes them better at being "straight blokes playing gay characters". I give Danny 5 of 5 stars on both his ability to play his particular gay role as well as his overall acting capacity. Keyword capacity.

Someone needs to give Danny some media coaching. The very group of people his character is supposed to represent i.e. gay men (and women), I expect are feeling increasingly uncomfortable about his repeated protestations about it being so difficult for him to kiss Marc Silcock, and what a cross to bear this role is. Please, he is not playing a rapist or murderer!!!

@sanyrub yeah, sometimes it can really depend on who's interviewing... Take, for example, Jake Gyllenhaal. In the Brokeback Mountain interview on Oprah, his approach to the movie had a laddish 'I'm straight, and it was difficult to kiss another man' vibe...but.... take this interview he did with an italian journalist /watch?v=zusaIRvcezY , probably the best interview that he did about the movie... but that could have been because the Italian's questions were deeper in content than Oprah's.

Ok, we really can't contribute how Danny Miller plays Aaron, especially with the scenes that require physical intitmacy since much of that has to do with direction. t He plays the role well, his dialogue and chemistry with Jackson is intense and believable and it is consistent with his character. So "a lot better than" him, when I believe he is one the best actors I've seen whether playing gay or straight; he's emotional range and depth is amazing!

Hi all just found this on 'digital spy' We don't often see Aaron and Jackson show much physical affection for each other. Has that been a deliberate thing - perhaps to show how the relationship isn't as strong as people might think?"No it's not, it's more to do with my personal decision. I mean, this is Aaron's storyline - it has been for the past two years - and it's a point that I've always chosen to do.

@ZamTx1 My previous response was cut off because I was typing from my iPod Touch. Also meant to say: "If he's interested in winning more awards or furthering his acting career I'd suggest moving on to a different project." Said before, his "coming out" performance was top-notch; well worth the accolades he received for the gay paradigm of the troubled, closet homosexual hoodie. But that is the only thing he will be good at when playing a gay man. I began losing interest after he came out.

@eilrahc101 Cont.... Regardless of girls or boys, Aaron has never been an intimate person and he's never been a person who would walk up to someone else in The Woolpack and give them a kiss, because he's insecure and he's not a happy bunny, really. I think it's been a personal decision on my part that I've chosen to do that with the character of Aaron, because he's not an intimate, cuddly person - he shuts his emotions off and he doesn't care what people think of him."

Danny Miller is a brilliant actor and I love him and his portrayal of Aaron... But why does he think that straight guys find it difficult to act intimate with other guys when playing gay roles... I have seen so many other actors who are straight play their roles so convincingly... I mean not only do they portray the characters brilliantly but also are passionate and intimate with them... There is JP-Craig and I guess both of them are straight... And also this new couple from 90210...

I know this is a really old video, but I think people are being completely unfair towards Danny. Of course it would be a bit of a challenge AT FIRST kissing another man when you are straight. Just like if you're gay, I'm sure you would find it strange to kiss a girl. It's just not what you're used to. Now I think Danny is used to it, which is good, and I haven't seen many problems from people with it. I think Danny has done a great job at portraying Aaron, and I just think people should be a bit more open minded about what it was like for him. And people saying he was being a bit homaphobic because he wanted to get out there and emphasise that he's straight, it absolute crap. It's like being gay and in the closet (which must suck), but instead it's being straight and out of the closet - which would also suck.

While it does get on my nerves, I think many of you are too hard on Danny. For one - I imagine it's hard to kiss another actor in general. I imagine it's easier if your attracted to said actor and thus harder if you're not. Being straight - another male epitomizes the thing you are LEAST attracted to - thus it's MORE difficult. Not that it's something to complain about. Also, he's young and an inexperienced actor. The ability to get over the reality of what's happening and just do it will come

I think it's the same for a gay actor to kiss a straight actor. Or a gay actress to kiss a man no matter if this man is gay or straight. I think it is difficult to kiss a stranger. But that is what actors (m/f) does. Sometimes they lay in bed with strangers. That is their job!!! Stupid questions. But i can't wait to see his new boyfriend. And of course, good luck für the awards!

As I watch more of these interviews I can help but think about Superman. I'm sure he's given plenty of interviews in the time he's been fighting for Truth, Justice and [all mankind]. I don't recall Superman banging on about Kryptonite in every f&^%ing interview he gave. "Boo Hoo! Kryptonite hurts me! Keep the kryptonite away from me. Boo Hoo!" The ACTOR, Mr. Miller, needs to take a lesson from Superman and shut up about his acting Kryptonite. Actors, good actors that is, GET OVER IT AND GROW.

I just feel the need to add that I have nothing against Danny Miller, and I think he and the storyline are amazing -- much as I would like it to have been written in a different direction. My issue was with the audience and the interviewers feeling sorry for him because he had to kiss a man. And there was only one answer he could give to them. Yes, the kisses have been superficial - I'm over that. But really, do we need an audience and show reinforcing the idea that kissing between men is icky?

Has this guy completely forgotten who are responsible for his popularity at the moment? The gay and gay-friendly audience!!! Gawd, he seems so full of himself. He fades in comparison to other straight actors in gay roles. Take Emmett Scanlan. So humble and talented, never once spoke of how "difficult" it is to play a gay role..and he does it with such passion and sensitivity. My advice: Don't like the job, just quit!

@kulaice Yes, but Danny wants to have his cake and eat it too. He might be honest about his personal feelings (re: boys kissing boys), but his Twitter account is loaded with requests to vote for his acting with whatever award is being voted on any given month. He wants awards for portraying a gay character that he can't personally commit to because the act of two men being affectionate makes him uncomfortable. He's been playing this aspect of Aaron for a year, and he's proving he hasn't grown.

@pacchiarotti1 there are plenty of actors out there who'd kill for the part... so leave the show Danny and the part can get recast if its so brutal on you. Plus... you play it like the character isn't even remotely gay. You go out of the way to make sure there's isn't the slightest hint Danny is gay.....

Really no offence to Danny Miller but boo-hoo its tough for a straight boy from Manchester to play gay.... Really, it MIGHT just be a little harder for a gay boy from anywhere to play straight all their lives. It's called the closet. And it's also (possibly) not so comfortable for people to hear that they should feel sorry for someone because he has to kiss a guy.
