I have a cool little story about Danny Montoya. Around 98-99' Las Flores elementary in Rancho Santa Margarita was starting to blow up as a skate spot. A friend and I were skating there on a Sat afternoon and Danny and a few of his crew just appeared out of nowhere. This was a big deal back then. Pro skaters were not as accessable as they are now and even though he wasn't the best it was crazy for a couple of kids to see someone we only knew from skate videos in person. The cops show up and they are all asking us where we're from. Danny stood up and decided to be the spokesman for everybody and said we're all from San Diego and we didn't know we weren't allowed to skate here. The cops let us slide and didn't give us tickets. haha. I will always remember that day.

yeah he seems to be a really down to earth kind of guy! sounds like he works for a charity organization outside of skateboarding,Him and Kenny Anderson on One step beyond were big time inspiration to me back then!
