Peter in NWH, and Miles in ASTV both do the right thing because they’re trying to save people they know can be saved. they don’t sacrifice anyone but themselves. They find a way to save everyone and thats what peter did in nwh and thats what miles will probably do in BSTV

Regarding the No Way Home Discussion, I’m curious how when Dr strange tells Tom’s Peter that he can’t save the villains or it could risk everyone dying, and Tom choosing to do it anyways is and and considered to be Peter being too egotistical, but when Miguel tells miles not to save his dad or everyone could die, him doing it is viewed as heroic and awesome. Whats the difference between these two situations?

I don't know if you've seen the clip breaking down the little moment early on in the fight where Anakin goes in for the same move to cut off Obi-Wan's hands like he did to Dooku's, but then Obi-Wan uses the momentum to like rotate out of the attack, but that was such an impressive thing to think about for their characters. Plus it adds to Andrew's point about them knowing each other and their tactics so well.

I personally just rewatched all of Star Wars for the first time since I was a kid and am now reading the comics/novels. I started with a phantom menace and don’t regret it, even tho I hated the first 2 movies and am also pretty low on ROTS because I’ve read the novel and it’s 100x better. However, I prefer to see my story in chronological order and I was already told the prequels are pretty bad, so it was fine. Hearing how good Star Wars is and how much everyone loved it was enough motivation to get through a few bad movies to get to the good stuff

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH EVERYTHING ANDREW SAID ABOUT STAR WARS AND HAD THE EXACT SAME REACTION. Original trilogy had one of the best lightsaber fights in Star Wars and i absolutely agree with Alex on that point, but what i disagree is that Prequels have an everlasting impact on entire Star Wars, i admit that there are extra twirls and spins but it doesn’t remove the fact that those fights were some of the most iconic and best sequences ever. Starting with Phantom menace, it is literally called DUEL OF THE FATES, fate of Anakin is being determined in that fight. After millennia’s there were no sign of sith and then Darth Maul shows up an epitome of hatred and revenge with no other purpose than killing Qui-Gon, fight starts with a glorious entrance of the new evil, after that as we know George Lucas is a great fan of Akira Kurosawa movies which are greatly resembled in both Prequels and especially Originals. Qui-gon even meditates in a middle of a fight. After Darth Maul killed obi wans master you can see he for an instance tapped into the dark side, he experienced a great loss which helped him to defeat Maul, the meaning of this fight is crucial for Anakin because if Qui-Gon survived than Anakin would have had his “father role model” still alive. Another great fight is a fight in Revenge of the sith, of Anakin and dooku is absolutely phenomenal. Remember that they had their own arc in CLONE WARS WERE WE GET A MORE DERAILED PERSPECTIVE ON BOTH OF THEM, how dooku uses the defensive style of obi wan and puts him on offense and uses Anakins aggressive style and puts him on defense its an amazing parallel. The last fight when Anakin kills dooku is a pivotal moment in revenge of the sith, dooku as one of the greatest duelists acknowledged that he finally faced the best wielder of aggressive style Djem so which Anakin uses effectively against dooku. Every single blow from Anakin was done PERFECTLY TO COUNTERACT STRIKES OF DOOKU AND THEN HE CATCHES HIM ON HIS MISTAKE which started from episode 2. Mace windu vs palpatine also an amazing encounter ( the reason why the jedi with mace died so quickly is because they deleted AN INSANE FIGHT BETWEEN PALPTAINE AND THE MASTERS which was choreographed by legendary Nick Gillard). Mace Windu reflected the power of palpatine to defeat him and made an amazing plot twist/shift of the reason why Anakin turned to the dark side “its not the jedi way” so Palpatine was defeated in that fight but he used that loss to possess Anakin way more effectively which once again proved how truly smart Palpatine was. And finally THE MUSTAFAR FIGHT (from Arabic mustafar literally means the chosen one) finished of with the greatest lightsaber duel of all time. Fight between two brothers that should have never happened started with their dialogue to understand the reason of all this. Obi wan taught Anakin everything he knew thats why the fight was longer and IT WAS ICONIC AS ORIGINAL TRILOGY FIGHTS ARE. They matched by their techniques, force and etc but what made Anakin lose is his arrogance he overestimated his abilities and because of that blindness Obi Wan used that as weakness and cut his limbs off which also wasn’t meant to be intentional but the circumstances were as they were. From phantom menace we also can see in Qui-gons funeral that only to people are in front of Anakin and palpatine, who are Obi Wan and padme, revenge of the sith made us understand that Palpatine basically took care of both of them and made himself closer to Anakin to seduce him to the dark side. To finally end this it was crazy hearing star prequels are only twirls and spins and nothing important when you have so much lore and so much insights behind it and thats why i agree with Andrew and will never change my mind about it. P.S - freakin sequel red guards IS HORRIBLE, period
