They lived very close to my uncle. When Langley was not developed much. My cousin Lorraine ran with bikers I was very young during their time in Langley but TOTALLY knew who it was when I later (age 10) read Helter Skelter and, saw this in '75 (it's a Canadian News Magazine Show a la 60 Mins). Freaked me out later on to put 2 and 2 together. FYI - All the haters...yes, two people of low moral fibre here in '75...on the run with (especially DDC) a target on them as "snitches" by the MF. In fact, DDC and SVS split before DDC could collect his reward $ for testifying against a MF/CM. Sherry COMPLETELY turned her life around. She became an administrator who sat quite high in a District of the California education system. They are not together now. Not for ages. They had a daughter who tragically died in a serious car accident at age 19. Not defending their behaviour here, at this time, or, at their time on the ranch/in the MF but - we all change over time. They never killed anyone. They fled. Testified.

Sherry remarried and took her new husband's last name. She lived in Northern California and was pretty high up in the education system as an educator first...and, then as an education administrator...upper echelon. I believe that she has retired now. Danny moved to Hawaii many years ago (I believe that he had roots there pre-MF/pre-S Slaves). He must be getting up there age-wise...though I have not heard of him passing away.

Cardinal Red Danny & Sherry both came across as just very normal laid back people. My friend & I drove Danny to Langley Memorial Hospital when Sherry was giving birth to their daughter. He was smuggling a 6 pack of beer into the maternity ward & when I said, “Hey Danny they might not let you bring that in there!”, he replied with, “Well, tonight I’m cela-fuckin’-bratin’!” He was a pretty hilarious guy.

I totally agree. I have friends who came back from Iraq and Afghanistan.. each of them cope with trauma in their own personal way. Laughing is a necessity and doesn't n necessarily mean they enjoyed doing whatever it was they had to do
