I think the most hilarious part of this is how completely disconnected the two events are. You grab a kerbal with 2 grabbing units, and the planet disappears. There is no way that even remotely makes any sense, and it's beautiful.

Attach parachutes to it. If you can get it within Jool's atmosphere (140 or so KM up), you MAY be able to destroy Jool.

I guess he follows these steps: 1. Look at new features. 2. What did they not expect me to go with this, and didn't test? 3. Do it. 4. If that didn't work mess around with anything that looks hard to code, more code, more bugs. 5. When the game brakes, repeat steps 1-4 and try and double brake it.

Oh, that reminds me, danny; with your planet destroyers, it always leaves the atmosphere behind. Jool is a gas giant, and by extension, is mostly, if not 100%, atmosphere. And thats why you cant kill Jool.

Let's review what he has said here. "I have unlocked its hidden power..." By "hidden power" he means the ability to destroy Kerbin. "And to operate, it needs a soul." By this he means the soul of a Kerbal. "Finally...I have found another way." This means he has found another way to break the planet, an alternative to his girder/lance/pike thing. CASE CLOSED.

The saddest part about Danny's attempts to destroy Jool is that it will probably never work because of the Gas Giants' lack of PQS data; which is what's getting messed up when Kerbin goes boom.

Kerbals: Kerbals are one of the strongest beings in the universe, their skin is elastic and this can help them. They don't feel pain and suffering. They can teleport through the ground, change their body shape and break SPACE-TIME to try and live, oh and literally go through stuff

I've had similar experience with the (pretty ancient) Torque game engine, if you have three active players you can attach the first to the second to the third, but attaching the third to the first results in the camera rendering failing and the physics engine getting frightened and imparting those three loop-mounted objects massive velocity. I actually enjoy the results of pushing various video game structures into weird states and watching them try to deal with odd states and weird data.

Another placed asset, rather than part of the main asset that is the rest of the planet. I'd guess things like the polar UFO and the Squad Monolith are also still there.

Yeah, the KSC and all the easter egg structures aren't treated as terrain by the game engine, which is what this bug seems to effect.

I'm really sorry if this annoys any of you, especially Danny, but I'm just trying to get the message out of this great game that deserves more than it gets credit for. It's called Flagship, and it's basically a first-person capital ship simulator. They are running a kickstarter, and it only lasts for about 20 more days. I won't post a link because most of you will probably think it's some virus, so just google it and see if you like the idea, which personally think is amazing! Again, I apologize if I annoy any of you, but I think a lot of fans of space will enjoy the concept. It's just like KSP, but first-person! Well, slightly different, but you get the idea.

Well it was released literally 8 seconds before midnight, so the countdown wasn't wrong. What was wrong is its in shit quality.

If it's not in 1080p and other resolutions immediately, it's not Danny's fault. After he uploads it KZfaq takes a few minutes to put the video into different resolutions (144p, 240p, 360p etc.)

I like to think that the devs appreciate everytime Danny comes out with something like this, because even as they're facepalming and going "oh my friggen god" they're also being provided with info on new bugs to fix! I dunno I think if I was a dev for this game I'd love the shit out of this stuff because it's helpful.

I think Jool won't die because it's "ground" is invisible, and the perceived cloud layers are scaled space all the down. That's why the clouds have the black/see-through glitchy effect when you fall down into Jool. Sometimes Kerbin will glitch out and it's terrain won't blend in from scaledspace, so you fall in to a flat sphere Kerbin and explode no matter what velocity you're at when you hit sea level. You also see the see-through effect in this case as well.

Danny you did actually destroy jool, the game just leaves the atmosphere behind, that is the blue circle you see around kerbel when you destroy it. With jool being a gas giant and all it makes sense that you couldn't see the difference.

Holy hell. This reminds me of when I tried attaching a rover to a jet with the claw, and it had basically the same result. I even remember sending a message to Danny about it, though I doubt he saw it.

Hey Danny: I think the reason why you didn't destroy Jool was because you weren't in its atmosphere like you were on Kerbin when you destroyed it from orbit.

try this but with the VTOL on top of the hanger/space station/whatever building you want, then let it fall slowly when you do the glitch so when you switch to it you will be inside the hanger/space station/whatever building you want!
