The Damned had constant line-up changes and reshufflings, as they broke up after every gig and regrouped two minutes later lol I think the version featuring Lemmy was a separate thing they called The Doomed, which didn’t last very long and I don’t think they recorded anything.

@@SamAlexKelly guest yeah. He did the Motorhead song “Ramones” on stage with that band in LA in ‘96 (the Ramones last show). With Metallica, he did “overkill” and maybe some other Motorhead classics, on stage with them. Metallica had previously recorded cover versions of those songs (to which Lemmy returned the favor- Motorhead has recorder versions of “enter Sandman” and “whiplash”, as well as the Ramones “RockawY Beach”).

I walked out of a pub in Birmingham in 1987 and accidentally bumped straight into Lemmy as he was walking in with Philthy Phil Taylor. He said, " Watch yourself sonny, what you fucking doing!?" I looked astonished that it was Lem & Phil and I said in a sheepish voice , "I'm on my way to see you guys live this afternoon with my mate." Lem laughed out loud and said, "The gigs tommorow afternoon you barmy prick." We'd got the day wrong😂😂😂 suffice to say we got a B&B and watched Motorhead the next day and it was incredible. R.I.P. Lemmy, a true rocker. ♠️
