The URIAN Awards musical numbers are some of my best works as a musical director, arranger and composer. I was given a free rein on my creativity. The musical production core team of Director Al Quinn, Producer Tessie Celestino, Musical Director Danny Tan and URIAN Awards Chairman Butch Francisco, the driving force of the production, made this all possible. These are truly musical gems worth sharing to the Filipinos again and again. This is URIAN Awards contribution to the legacy of OPM.

Grabe!! This is what singing should be. You can feel the emotions. You understand the lyrics. I cannot stand the style of singing nowadays, the screaming and the thing they call “birit”.

This happened in one of the Urian Awards Night which was held at the CCP. I watched it on TV and this is truly one of the best and indeed memorable performance/ intermission number in an awards night. La Aunor was at her best. Her vocal prowess was showcased with so much class.

Iba ka talaga Ms. Nora Aunor. Tagos sa puso ang pagkanta. Saka kahit hindi mo siya nakikita ay alam mong siya ang kumakanta. Tanging ikaw lang ang may ganyang boses. BRAVO!!!!
