Dr. Medic, I was surprised with the mixing of the taco beef and lo mein noodle. As the top professional buffet expert in the country, your actions are going to draw more scrutiny. The free dinner buffet recipient, Joani/subscriber with benefits, was a nice addition to your entertaining review.

The chicken appeared to be a "leg quarter". That is usually the cheapest cut you can find in a grocery store. Both the thigh and drumstick are cut off at one time and sometimes the meat cutter will cut in the side of the ribs when trying to cut that whole side off. When I was younger, they'd often be on sale for 59¢/lb. Nowadays I see them for around $1.29/lb when on sale. My husband likes dark meat so I still buy them when I want to BBQ chicken.

😊😊😊been to the Excalibur buffet many times over the years..its the best of the MGM Grand, Excalibur and Luxor trifecta. Go with a 2 for 1 My Vegas coupon and you get it for about their pre covid price.😅

Great video on the revised excalibur buffet. I honestly miss the Aria buffet prior to covid closing it. out of the MGM resorts the buffets that are left are Excalibur, Luxor, MGM, Bellagio and technically the cosmopolitan wicked spoon who has yet to have a transfer to myvegas. I agree danny that the myvegas is the best deal you can ask for for the buy 1 get 1 free. one that I am having a hard time getting is the bellagio buffett buy 1 get 1 free lately. Prices are considerable different from both bellagio and excalibur prices BELLAGIO Mon - Thur, $44.99 Fri - Sun, $49.99 Dinner Fri - Sun: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM $66.99 Excalibur Weekday Brunch Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Adults: $28.99 Children (5-11): $16.99 Weekend Brunch Friday, Saturday & Sunday 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Adults: $31.99 Children (5-11): $17.99 ONE THING TO NOTE I BELIEVE MGM,EXCALIBUR,LUXOR are only open for brunch aka breakfast and lunch only. While bellagio is open for dinner only on weekends. Not sure about the other buffetts though. This is just the MGM resorts. Wynn and ceasars I WOULD CHECK out if you want to spend the extra $$ on them. they are considerably good but a tad bit expensive imo.

Enjoyed the review and humor... FYI The sausage is called a Kielbasa and has different taste ratio than "Sausage" They must have been out of tap water that day,,,,Very rare to see DTM drink soda.

With regard to the fried chicken dissection: It appears to be a whole breast, which is why it's so "monstrously thick." For whatever reason, this particular piece was not split into halves, which is how it's typically prepped and served. I could be wrong and would be interested in hearing others' opinions.

I say you're spot on.........I saw it as primarily a breast when seeing the split gap on the side. The second piece he got was cut in the conventional way you normally see them fried.

@@dannythemedic Because it was a cut called a "leg quarter". Thigh with drumstick on the same cut. Sometimes you'll find a bit of the rib bones that came along for the ride. I thought for sure you would want to stick an IO into it. My PALS cert instructors always gave us a chicken leg and an IO needle to practice with.

Restructured Meat Products 25:41 Restructured meat products are ground, flaked (Fig. 13.4), or chopped and manufactured into steaks, chops, or roast-like products for retail consumers and institutional food preparation. at 29:13, towards the left of frame, I think I identify quadratus lumborum (or avian equivalent) musculature, and the portion you showed with ribs may be the caudal costal bones after removal of the pectoral muscles, essentially the chicken spine and ribcage.

that crepe @33:36 looks like a McDonald's pancake. They are either not properly mixing it or trying to make crepes from thinned out pancake batter or lastly, and not likely as they are obviously trying to stretch pancake batter into crepes, they are not letting their crepe batter sit over night so the bubbles can come out. "Come to the Excalibur Buffett for the world's shittiest crepes! We start with low-end grocery store instant pancake mix, just add water. We then double the water and stir the hell out using our Vitamix. Then we tell you it is a crepe and fill it with the finest canned pie filling that Sysco has on offer and finish it with some Food Services of America whipped cream."

Please dont call it a crep . That sounds like you are going to the bathroom! It is a "krayp". And of course it tastes like a pancake. Crepe is French for pancake. And Fontainbleu is Fontan, not Fountain. But you pronounce au just almost correct? Curious. You English is perfect, Spanish is good. But your French is horrible. Only a few French words you need to know in America. This comes from a born and raised Canadian with 5 years of French language in school and living in Mexico for the past 15 years. Trust me. 😎
