I didn't really like beyers until I switched pads. All of them sounded too much bathtub like. Afterwards they sounded more normal but a little bit tighter than before.

I listen to a lot of rock which one do you think is better? I have the ie300 but I think the mids are recessed, but its bass is excellent and it has a lot of weight and the drums hits hard.

I converted all my mmcx to 2 pin thanks to these 0.78 2 pin adapters and some phone adhesive glue so they don't rotate easy

That’s interesting because everyone talks about that bass leakage thing with IE 200 but in my case I don’t think that the bass is problematic. I can hear it clearly and well and IE 200 gives me a nice balanced sound. Got them today so those drivers are still stiff and need more listening to fully catch their breath but so far it doesn’t seem like there are any problems with the bass.

Yea it does have a heftier sound. For sure! I do really like the balanced sound of the IE200 though too.

Yes I agree as I would go for the Aful if I was offered either to buy.I prefer a warmer Sounding IEM or headphones.

It helps justify the job to my wife and to the time I could be spending with my family instead of making videos. How do I reconcile though with the potential biases making money creates? How do I deal with potential conflicts of interest when recommending a product? While the conflict of interest is inherent to getting paid for talking about products, the best I can tell you is that I do what I can. I tell everyone I’m sponsored. I tell everyone I use affiliate links. I provide demos for people to listen to some semblance of the real thing, for themselves, so they can ignore my opinions if they wish. And at the end of the day, it’s an honor system. On my honor, I tell you I don’t make any explicit thought toward trying to hype items because of my affiliation. On my honor, I can tell you the only bias I have is implicit and unconscious. And even then, I often open my videos now by saying I’m sponsored, by airing out potential biases people need to look out for, and I am often found trying to deflate hype - not add to it. @@dansaudioreviews you use your patron. Your job is to give us as unbiased of a review as possible. If you are deliberately compromised in doing that, then you have failed at your job, its that simple. Do whatever you want as a business venture, if it is a conflict of interest with your job (which it objectively is), then you are going to face consequences (in this case people like me losing trust in you). You can't refute the talking points crinacle brought up, thats the point im making. If money is more important than that, then that entirely your choice alone, *but you can't have both* .

Yes you could argue if the product exist there you still have incentive, but the issues with affiliate links are unquestionably worse. You're always going to have biases in reviews, its your job to minimise then as much as possible (preferences withstanding), and affiliate links for many people simply cross a threshold, and video like crinacles outline why.

The separation sounds amazing though

EQ your iems to totally neutral (0db boost at any frequency) and hear it again. Edit: This iems have a certain fq response, and the headphones you are using to listen to this recordings also does, so when you listen to this with your headphones it ads both signatures making a HUGE distortion. Still, even EQing to totally neutral, you are not gonna hear exactly the same, but will have a much more accurate idea of how it sounds.

Aful is warmer. I prefer it cuz I have similar IEMs and this sounds too sharp.

sound is so subjective. ie200 are quite revealing, but i prefer the a5 with more air.

Use other tips with Ie200. Ie200 sounds better

@@fuzail3379 another thing that makes a huge difference is adjusting preamp. when i use my aful's I use poweramap equalizer app and the only thing I adjust is the preamp gain, at certain levels they sound more warmer when I bring it to high levels. brings out the bass much more too, other levels they sound more balanced and... maybe sharp? idk if that's the right word. but they're realy amazing iem's with doing that and very very minimal eq adjustments. you really don't need to do much with them.

for my aful's pre-amp gain increases of 9.7. 10.6. 11. and 12 seem to give me the best responces. 9.7 and 10.6 being the most natural sounding.but depending on the track. i also find giving them a subtle cut of around -0.2 or -0.3db between 200 - 400 hz and around 800 give or take... gives more separation to vocals. and clarity in mids also a -0.7 or -0.8db cut in the 5k area, gives a nice separation

Good for you, you can get the cheaper and more valuable option. Or are you not going to buy either but talk shit anyway.

The IE200 is not even close to the S12.

I have several iems : timeless, s12, hook-x, final audio a5000, ikko oh10, kato and ie 200. FLC8, dunu dn2000j For me the best for everyday listening and having fun and the best with everything is the ie 200 then the s12, kato and Hook-x are very good in second position for me. And again for me the oh10 and final audio a5000 are not good i don't recommand these iem. The most near in term of sound is the kato but the ie200 is better than the kato... i use it with a portable dac/amp hidisz S9 pro

Not really haha I own the P5 and a few other IEMs. I’m no expert by any means, P5 is a fantastic IEM for the money. Specially if you like bass. I’ve not heard ie200 in person so I cannot speak on it.

@@LorenzoFrausto Yes people need to understand than this kind of demo, and Dan's demos specificically, do not sound like the actual iems being demoed. PUT THEM IN YOUR OWN EARS FOLKS! I'm lucky enough to live near Jaben so I get to hear tons of iems.

That's what people usually say when they can't get past their biases. "Cheap chinese overpriced crap as usual" lol whatever. And also, you need to put them in your own ears to know what they actually sound. These demos don't sound nearly as accurate as you might think. How do I know this? I live near a famous iems store (Jaben) and I have demoed TONS of iems. Dan's demos have never sounded like the actual iems. When I said never, I mean NEVER.
