This is the parade that accompanies the great Festival Interceltique de LOrient. Bagpipers, Irish dancers, and all kinds of other folk dance-groups with their bands parade through the city. You can't have it all and most likely, this is also done to protect the dancers. Dancing on solid asphalt is most likely very slippy, NOT good for your joints and the shoes won't like it either.

I wholeheartedly agree. The beautiful Irish culture has evolved for thousands of years into an amazing thing. The song Molly Malone "The girls are so pretty in Dublin's fair city" is a very accurate statement. Those girls are all beautiful by virtue of insular genetic exclusivity. An island. Their values, traditions and up front, wonderful sense of humour does not deserve to be polluted by external genetic invasion. But unfortunately - that is happening. RAAAYYYSSISSST!
