Well done getting it apart! It's an absolute PITA. Something to be weary of are the thermal fuses that supply the ELRS module. They are easy to blow with a short and do not reset. Plus the module is always supplied voltage, unlike other handsets which only switch on voltage to the module when turned on.

Where did you get the added grip tape? Thanks for this video I was struggling with how to make adjustments to the resistance of the sticks because I couldn't get the grip panels off and didn't want to use something to pry them off if there was a trick to it. Thanks again.

The roll input feels a little sticky specifically when I roll right. Any ideas as to why this is and ways to fix?

hey man good video! I have some sand or something on the left gimbal stick and it grinds when I move it. I tried to adjust it with the screw in the back but it doesn't do anything... Do you think taking it apart could help?

That would be my next move. Then you can lube all the contact points too.

You access the adjustment screws through the back of the radio.

WOW ! Happy to have found your channel . I bought a DJI FPV drone that I love. My first drone ever. Now , I want to buy a second pair of DJI goggles so that my daughters can "fly" with me and enjoy the view I have. NOT POSSIBLE ! Is there any way in the world to be able to do this ? I saw your DIY video about this subject but I need something RTF--- ready to use- out of the box. Zero building skills here. Please help me. It´s been 8 month since you published the Cosmostreamer solution. There must be something else out there that you know about . Thank you DJI for not warning your customers about this awful design mishap. Praying for an answer from TweetFPV. Amazing content you create !

Thank you for the kind words. The only true bind and Flys that are gaurenteed to work out of the box are the rotor riot pre-built and tuned quads. Get the quad and the dji controller and you should be good to go. You'll also need lipos and a charger. I wish I had more experience with the dji fpv drone. I had a chance to fly a few packs on one that a patron sent me. But as far as I know about having a "ride along" would be one person in the goggles and the other watching on a smart phone.

I’m having issues with my comando when I plug it in it blinks on the first light but it won’t charge no matter how long I leave it and then once I unplug it the light just fades away I just unboxed it

Let's see if you can help me, my commando 8 after approximately 6 flights began to fail, in the gimbals. When I try to calibrate the fault does not go away, it consists of while the sticks are in the middle position, the map on the screen shows them to the sides, and in the calibration menu, when trying to move them to the sides, they never They reach 100% according to the sensors. Is it possible that they have broken while stored in a backpack? without receiving pressure on them? The community in which I participate tells me that it is difficult for them to be spoiled by that.

Yea I'd agree with them. Hall gimbals are pretty tough. My guess is that either a wire from the gimbals got pinched between the clam shell halfs or you just have one that is failing. Is it both or one gimbal that is acting up?

@@TweetFPV thanks for the quick reply!! Yes, it's happening with both. Left is moving left and down when you push just down, and right isnt centered, and when you move right it's detecting just 20% of the range, I thing I need to open it to control if everything is in order, I was trying to avoid it cause I have not electronic knowledge

For what it's worth the commando has some of the lowest quality gimbals I've seen in a long time.
