People are too critical these days. So critical that people like us feel bad about ourselves for having a pint for breakfast! We need to let go a bit more, I think, anyways.

Here’s to all those of you who work the night shift. I worked many a night shift and oftimes when you leave work you’re powerful thirsty, just like regular guys getting off shift at 3 or 6 or 11. Or .. maybe you just feel like having a breakfast pint.

Having worked nights for a fair few years, that last shift of the rota and going to the pub for a couple pints to finish of the week, those are truly delicious pints.

I recall hitting a few early sessions around Fremantle, west Australia back in the day, they opened from 6AM to serve the night shift dock workers at the port of Fremantle-came in handy for those prolonged party vibes from Saturday night. Uhggh, couldn't face the early pints these days!

I remember when Bourdain filmed his Layover Dublin episode and he visited Slattery's for a pint and oysters on his last morning to cure the auld hangover. Sure I'd have a pint in the morning!

I was in Slatterys a few years ago at 7.30 in the morning and had a great time.
