I really want to see Marcy’s clumsiness to come and constantly plague Darcy.

One of my most hyped moments for Season 3B is seeing Anne and Sasha’s reaction to Darcy

Well there is one possibility for Marcy to be saved. The Core had it's consciousness downloaded in to Marcy's body, meaning Marcy's own consciousness is still in her own body, it's just being overpowered by the Core's will.

I want Marcy back I miss her already

If you look closely at the coffins in the castle crypt you'll notice that each one has a different design on their casket, suggesting that these amphibians aren't necessarily all newts from Newtopia but could be from different clans from different points in time and possibly never knew each other in life, or were even adversaries, until being assimilated into the Core. If each mind can have its own voice in Darcy it's likely they might not get along with each other and the way for Marcy to regain control of her body is to exploit the lack of friendship between the minds so they don't work in unison to control her like what was seen in Quarreler's Pass.

The more I think of it, the more worried I am for Marcy’s wellbeing, hope she’s ok

I have a theory of my own: If you notice, Darcy’s helmet as two large axolotl-like growths, as opposed to the smaller ones. And the calamity box operates based off of three stones. I think the Core might try to remove the stones from the box and affix them to Darcy’s helmet, in an attempt to take the powers of the entire Calamity Trio for itself.

I think so. We know from Andrias that the device was never tested before, so trying it head on it’s a risky move. Furthermore, she is a human being, not an amphibian. We still have no idea how successful the possession is. I believe that she’s aware of what the Core is doing to her body, but she can’t stop it, or at the very least not alone. You know like Kingdom Hearts. Every single time someone is possessed or corrupted, they end up saved by their loved ones, proofs that willpower, while it is necessary, is still not enough

What if Darcy is some dark side of Marcy we’ve never seen, let’s say the core influences a persons dark and negative emotions and thoughts and uses those to make them do things they wouldnt normally do.

You see, it only makes sense that Marcy has some Agency from a narrative standpoint. As you said, the Core values her intelligence, it supposedly communicates with her. If she was just some blank puppet for the Core, then why would it not simply build for itself an all powerful robot suit to occupy? Plus, it simply doesn't bode well for her character arc if she's simply rendered stagnant for a long time in the final season. Like you said, Darcy is most likely not so much a corrupted or puppet Marcy but a hive mind in which she plays a large part, not just the physical host. She may be overruled or locked in committee hell with the other minds, or worse, her mind may be warped by the others in order to fully assimilate. Maybe That's why it allowed Olivia and Yunan and her to escape initially, so it could study her fears, her desires, motives, etc, so it can alter them all, thus changing her entire personality. It just needed to know what to look for first. So when she fights Anne, it won’t be due to her being a mindless puppet. It will be her choice. Because she won't care about her or Sasha and what they mean to her anymore. Marcy will have been made heartless. As for how she breaks out of it, maybe smashing the helmet is the first stage. That way, she is back firmly in the driver's seat, but she has to contend and work alongside the extra minds in her head. That knowledge will be essential to the protagonists.

I feel like Sasha is gonna lose her eye to Darcy or at least gets enough damage to it to wear an eye patch and leave a scar like how Anne left a scar on her cheek.

Ok darcy is mostly a thirteen year old girl being a merge between marcy and the core and serve as a greatest force of danger in amphibia and when Anne faces her destroying the helmet might be the only way to save marcy

I like to think that the smallest eye is Marcy’s mind being held back by the others meaning she will have to go through all 9 of the other minds through fighting or talking meaning that if that’s true Marcy still has a chance to take back control of her body and use it against Andreas and destroy any plan that he had for taking over earth

After Sasha in Amphibia during season 3B getting her Calamity powers back after reuniting with Anne and apologizes, when Anne gets through the portal Terri made to Amphibia. They’re either both going to have to battle Darcy, Anne enters Marcy’s mind to save her while Sasha holds Darcy down until Anne successfully frees Marcy mentally then after Marcy is normal again the three girls have an epic fight against King Andrias with the trio in Calamity mode. Eventually the three girls will have a tearjerking hugging each other of course. Just hoping for something more exciting and creative than the “I know you’re in there, remember the good times Marcy” cliche. I trust the Amphibia will come up with something creative and a little more original.

Ok but I really want darcy to keep marcy's clumsiness Like in the middle of threatening anne or sasha and all of the sudden its cloak sets on fire "OH MY FROG, WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING" Or in the middle of menacingly walking towards someone just trips on nothing and hurts itself

Whenever this kind of possession happens…my headcannon is that, much like in Artemis Fowl: The Atlantis Coplex, the original personality is trapped inside their own brain…still fully aware of what’s going on, but unable to do anything about it

I have a feeling if Marcy manages to breaks free of the Core's control, it might use Andrias as a backup host.

After the series ends she’s going to be scarred for life since she is still a child and went through torture and is not going to be the goofy, clumsy girl she once was and is going to need a lot of counseling.

I hope it doesn't end with Anne and Sasha doing the whole "I know you're in there!" cliche when they save her.

Seeing Marcy get possessed and turn into Darcy broke my heart

I wonder if any of the character's from Marcy's Theme Song Takeover might play a role in freeing Marcy and/or the final showdown with Andrias and the Core.

7:17 either Sasha would go first and get completely destroyed, or Anne would go first getting rekt with Sasha thinking she'll have to defend everyone activating her calamity powers:) eventually Anne will was up and awaken her like ultra instinct calamity powers and they defeat Darcy with Marcy already in her mind fighting off her fears and not listening to the voices. At Marcy's last stand where she's getting overpowered by everything and Darcy about to take control, she uses the power of love and awakens her calamity powers creating a giant shockwave around silencing their voices, evaporating her enemies, and breaking free from Darcy's control.

I used to interpret the mindscape as Mike's alternate personalities (from Total Drama Island) and how they just sit around until they get their time to shine. Alternately, Marcy could just be in the mindscape just watching her body being used and unable to seize control because she is outnumbered. But, that was my initial theory anyway.

I personally think sasha will meet darcy first, Sasha was the one still stuck in amphibia while anne is still on earth. Assuming anne will be going back to amphibia in ''Escape to amphibia'' Yes, maybe she could see darcy first but i have a feeling since shes the main character they are saving that for later episodes.

I hope Darcy is a half-comedy half-serious villain. (Like if she goes on a long long monologue, her cape would always catch on fire in the middle of the monologue.)

I must say that I did not expect them to turn her evil but what interests me most is Sasha and Anne's reaction.

Something I just noticed is that when the core is in its mechanical form it has 9 eye, when it possesses marcy it has 10 eyes maybe every eye simbolises a mind that has been assimilated by the core

When do yall think Sasha will unlock her calamity powers?

Ok, I've got some theories on both the story and the series 1.The First half of the season will focus on the world building aspect which we've been seeing and the second half will focus more in amphibia 2.When Anne and the Plantars arrive back in Amphibia they will meet up with Sasha, Grime and the citizens of Wartwood 3.Two or three episodes before the series finale, everyone will try to attack Newtopia and overthrow Andrias, which will go well until Anne and Sasha finally meet up with Darcy, Anne and Sasha would try to preach with Darcy, trying to get to Marcy but Darcy will overpower the two by guilt tripping them, making them feel bad, Anne and Sasha would look out of the castle seeing their closest friends and family getting captured, and they have no choice but to leave 4.The following episode will contain two things, one of them would be Anne and Sasha truly reconciling and thinking about what they said or did to Marcy was wrong, the other part would be Darcy awakening something, because don't forget about the prophecy, Anne Sasha and Marcy still have to fight that giant amphibian, Darcy would awaken it and it will somehow destroy Marcy's connection with the Core, Andrias tries to control it but seeing as it was no use, Andrias and Marcy (although Marcy does not trust Andrias) go and get help from everyone else 5. The last two episodes will be a two parter, the first part will be about everyone fighting for amphibia, battle is legendary, Anne, Sasha and Marcy go to fight the Amphibian and they don't fare so well against it, Anne unlocks her full Calamity Powers, but that still isn't enough...them Sasha and Marcy' calamity stones start to glow, and then Sasha and Marcy reconnect with their stones and get their Calamity Forms and that's when the first part ends 6. The series Finale will show the three superpowered girls really giving it to the amphibian, but I don't think it'll be so easy, when the three finally plan on destroying it, the amphibian pulls out its trump card, it will gain an ability so powerful that not even the full powers of the three can beat it, they are overpowered and are forced out of their Calamity Forms, once the amphibian is about delete their lives Andrias comes in for a slight redemption and battles the amphibian although he doesn't fare to well, he tells Sasha, Anne and Marcy that he's realized the amount of damage he's caused to amphibia and so he charges at the amphibian only to get eaten and perish, with no more hope fueling them, Sasha, Anne and Marcy look around to see their allies still fighting, they realize that if their allies keep fighting then so should they, they rise back up with new found strength, all three of them glow a strange white light and it overtakes their bodies as the lights fuse together and make one entity, instead of fighting separately they decide to fight as one, and in doing so, they defeat the amphibian

I think the eye that Marcy would be seeing out of will be the one on the chest

So basically Marcy may have to fight for control. I Marcy still partially in control will have to break free on her own, that would be interesting. But I wonder what Anne and Sasha will think of her now.

I think Marcy has been fully assimilated into the core and is now one of them. This reminds me of something from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, so spoilers for that show! The philosopher's stone. In FMA and FMAB, it's made of human souls. in FMAB, Kimblee is dying and Pride takes his soul into his own philosopher's stone. Later on, in the final battle, Edward converts his own soul into a philosopher's stone in order to invade Pride. The only reason why this works is because Kimblee is still conscious and active inside Pride and actually helps Edward take him down. Pride is shocked that Kimblee is still able to stay conscious inside of there, given how many people are already a part of it and are screaming too loud for a normal person to stay sane. The catch is that Kimblee is a psycopath that enjoys the sound of people screaming, so it makes sense that he'd still be fully conscious. Now, why are they screaming? Well, in the finale, the main villian temporarily turns everyone in the entire country into a philosopher's stone inside of himself. The main cast manages to release everyone, but then it cuts to Winry saying that it felt like she was in a swirling vortex of pain. If that's what it's like, then it makes sense why they're screaming all the time! What if being part of the core is kind of like being part of a philosopher's stone?... Just that the ones who have been there for so long are used enough to it that they've got proper consciousness, like Kimblee?

I'm really glad I'm not the only one who was reminded of that "hello there" vid when Darcy said it in the episode! 🤣🤣🤣

3:09 this has a new meaning now that episode "The core & the King" dropped.

The Core seems to be like raw intelligence with the downside of being totally rational and cold. Maybe that allows the collectice intellect to assume their darkest desires whenever it deems them as the "best" or more efficient goal. And that would also fit Marcy because, in her fear of being rejected, her intellectual beinf would push her to ditch her feelings and guilt in order to achieve a higher level of brilliance. Only when her human and sentimental side remeber the reasons she loves Anne and Sasha will manage to bree herself from the Core.

When the episode ended I literally almost shed tears to know that Marcy is gone for now

So here’s just a thought I had Ann’s power is similar to when a person you love is in a harmful situation and you get a adrenaline rush that has been know to cause strength And it ties into her gem being heart so I think that this must the same for the other gems like maybe something as to happen in other to trigger the other powers too and I think that Marcy’s power would be able to analysis objects with a glance but only one object at a time because it will overload her brain if she thinks to hard and that it could work like builder sense in the LEGO movie also I got the idea of one object at a time from Marcy’s problem with getting fixated on one thing at a time

Cool theory and explanation! I can totally agree with most of the points brought up. My biggest question is also how having The Core in Marcy's mind will work. Also another theory, but about Anne's calamity powers: So you know how her stone wasn't fully charged in the 2nd temple? Do ya'll think that will come back in season 3? Maybe when she is trying to defeat Andrias or something. Will Sasha, Anne, and Marcy combine powers or something? IDK these are all questions I really wanna have answered. Another point: MARCANNE!!! YES!!! I really hope that is canon or some type of gay/queer rep is going to happen! Marcanne would be nice, but really anything that would break the barriers. Also look at Marcy and Anne together! THEY LOVE EACH OTHER AND NO ONE WILL TELL ME OTHERWISE!!! (sry, got carried away...)

I think Marcy is still in there (especially with what we saw in “FLX-Mas”), and I wouldn’t be surprised if her clumsiness becomes a problem for the Core going forward. Given the information we got in “Mother of Olms”, Anne will probably restore Marcy’s powers (perhaps that will be the key to freeing her along with peaceful resolution). Either way, it’ll be interesting to have a more in depth introduction to Darcy this Saturday in “The Core and the King”.

We all know the frog monster in the Amphibia title screen is not the Core, since it looks nothing like it, and that it includes the three warriors (who look identical to Marcy, Anne and Sasha) fighting it. What if the Core isn't the final boss, so to speak, and instead it's that frog monster (the Night) from the prophecy? Like imagine this whole time Andrias and his ancestors had been conquering worlds and collecting resources not for their own conquest, but to bring this thing back to life? When Andrias said "the prophecy is being undone," what if he was talking about eliminating their powers so this monster would have nothing standing in its way? So imagine if thousands of years ago the original Calamity Trio defeated this monster and put it into a deep hibernation, then sealed their powers inside the gems that went into the Calamity Box that was then protected by the Order that Valeriana and her ancestors were in. Now with the box back Andrias can finish the final piece of the puzzle and resurrect the Night to be unleashed on Amphibia or even Earth. Maybe he needs all three Calamity Powers to do so. So the Core this whole time has been Andrias's ancestors and they've been relaying to him how to revive and then control the Night once it's been resurrected? The Box contains incredible energy that was utilized by Andrias's ancestors to power their castle and Newtopia, as well as their frobot armies and conquests, but that wasn't its original intended purpose. The Calamity Box was used to teleport between worlds, though that may have been Andrias's ancestors who discovered and used that. Honestly there is so much potential lore in Amphibia that is hopefully uncovered more in Season 3 and beyond, and whatever it may be will be amazing.

I think Marcy became a background program, like when Ultron took over Arsenal ( Howard Stark's attemp to create a robotic best friend for Tony Stark.)

Something I wonder is who the core actually is other than what we already know. I wonder if I could be a character otherwise connected to the show such as one of Sprig and Polly’s parents, or a character we already know in the show that we wouldn’t necessarily suspect. That would be an interesting twist, and I feel that could be possible.

Hello guys!!! I have a theory about darcy’s future. In the episode Olivia and Yunan when Olivia opens the door and overhears the conversation between Andrias and his lord he said that the machine is not ready and they need someone to test it to… So I believe when they experience enough on Marcy , Andrias is going to take the machine and this monster is going to be uploaded to his body that is ten times stronger than Marcy ‘s and he is going to be unstoppable! The only problem is that I don’t know what is going to happen with Marcy … So yeah that’s what I thought!

I can see Darcy with calamity powers saying "sorry gals...but MARCY is not here right now. Only us."
