Sunil Dutt was such a gem of a man contrary to his worthless, criminal son! He single-handedly brought up 3 teenaged kids after the demise of his wife who suffered from cancer. This movie reminds us about his own life!! Lucky was his wife, Nargis, who had such a sensitive and loving husband! Not to say anything about the outstanding performances, particularly, by Smita Patil who excellently portrayed each and every emotion with such aptness!

Hi from New York, I saw this movie when I was little and liked it but saw it again now, and No, it’s not realistic. Sunil dutt tried to do manoj kumar and emotionally blackmail Indians under the guise of fake patriotism. It doesn’t happen in real life. Husband and wife, a married couple, who the fuck cares about india? You start your life anywhere in the world where you two are together. The dialogue between Sunil duty’s character and madam puri before their divorce says it all, madan puri’s character made lot of sense, Sunil dutt was trying to bullshit Indian audiences in India via fake patriotism. It was ok to watch but not practical at all!
