I have gone from being mildly interested in this since I love Charlie Cox to being full blown hyped. Daredevil Season 3 is peak superhero storytelling, and Bullseye is a huge reason why.

Wilson did an amazing job with bullseye. Bullseye has always been one of my favorite villains and when correctly you see how dangerous he can be

I love Wilson Bethel’s version of Bullseye, I was so intrigued by his arc. Dex was my favorite Daredevil villain after the Kingpin. I love how he goes from being a straight and arrow government agent/war hero, to having a downward spiral, Fisk exploited every one of his weaknesses and pushed him to be the murderous psychopath from the comics. I always sympathized with Dex, and even felt sorry for him, but I loved every scene when he goes full villain! This version of Bullseye was perfectly balanced between comic accurate and original storytelling and Bethel hit the mental and emotional core of this character perfectly while keeping the perfect marksmanship ability grounded. With the time jump in the show now being in the broader MCU I always had an idea of Bullseye being a freelance hitman, holding a huge grudge against Daredevil and Fisk. 3 episodes is a great amount of time to reintroduce him and set him up for the Thunderbolts, especially if Born Again gets a 2nd season.

As far as I know it's already been pretty much confirmed that there'll be a Season 2 of Born Again, I believe D'Onofrio and a couple other cast members have said something about it. I think it's a bit too late to get him on the current lineup of Thunderbolts, but he's definitely someone to keep in mind if they continue with the Thunderbolts beyond this upcoming movie.

I love bethel as bullseye he’s one of my favourite things to come out of marvel in a long time and dare I say I think he looked a hell of a lot better in the red daredevil suit than Charlie cox does… that jawline and chin is soooo sharp 😂

He was a pretty good bullseye! I'm glad it looks like he might be coming back officially. It woulda been a waste if they didn't bring him back and explore more of that dynamic between the Netflix Daredevil and Bullseye. I still think their fight was one of the best fights in the show, and they had a lot of them, but we need more.

Ironheart & Agatha are probably the last two shows from the Chapek leadership era. I feel Wonder Man, Vision Quest and this series is where we’re going to see the changes Iger was talking about.

Ironheart for the most part is, they literally ended main filming of it like right before Chapek was asked to leave and they just finished some reshoots and stuff for it from what I understand. Agatha is a bit more 50/50, while it was announced during the Chapek era, a lot of the filming and such occured after Chapek left. I pretty much agree, anything from 2025 and beyond, aside from Ironheart, will be more reflective of the new Iger era changes.

Why does John keep saying not everything from the Netflix Daredevil will be canon? There have been no sources that have confirmed this! Everything in the Daredevil Netflix show doesn't contradict anything that happened in the MCU.

@@IP_Films01 He was only in the same room as Feige years ago when Feige “suggested” the stuff people swore was canon wasn’t. And even if you want to argue that John misconstrued him, it’s only been reported in the major trades (by D’Onofrio himself) that was Born Again WASNT going to be connected to the Netflix show prior to this overhaul. But hey, clearly John needs to be informed 🙂

@@Sevensentai6918 D'Onofrio himself states that it was still canon, just not connected. As in, the original Born Again wouldn't pick up where S3 left off, it was its own show, but it was still canon. D'Onofrio mentioned many times it was canon before as well. You're just as bad as John if you only take part of his statement or argument to fit your narrative.

Bringing the actors/characters back is cool, my overall concern is the writing. The writing is what made daredevil so loved and critical. Let’s not forget they brought back….to play Obi for the Disney + series and the fan base disliked it. I would like to hear they’re bringing back the writers from the Netflix series.

After Echo...well I have no faith in them. If they can make it exactly like the Netflix version. I want them to bring back Ironfist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, etc. I preferred that world to the one we're getting in the MCU currently. Even if some of them were hit or miss.

I mean, it would make perfect sense. We last left Poindexter when he was getting those Adamantium strips put in his back. I don’t think the name dropped the actual metal used but they can easily retcon that aspect. Also, we already know Bullseye’s origins so that’s less that has to be told, get straight to the action!

@@spicymemes7458 yeah and specifically season 3 was godlike, the writing was so good. I thought season 1 was amazing, but geez season 3 was at another level. Back in the day, the season 3 writers were already working on a script for season 4 before it got cancelled, I really would have love to see where they would have taken daredevil next. Just wishful thinking at this point 😫

Season 2 was the weakest so I would be ok with every every writer that didn't work on season 2 coming back. I know Marco Ramirez was definitely one of the writers for season 2

@@user-rv9hp6bo3y I agree. That's why most of these writers are from Season 1 and 3. I included Ramirez and Petrie because they were part of the Season 1 team. I cherry-picked Season 2 writers who worked on some of the strongest Frank Castle episodes - since he's going to be in the new series as well. But if I could only choose 3 writers, they would be Drew Goddard, Steven S. DeKnight, and Erik Oleson (the showrunner of Season 3).

I thought out of all the characters, Bullseye would be the character they would recast. But if they going to bring back the original actor for Bullseye, I don't see why they can't bring back the original actress for Elektra.

I think the only difference is that the actress who played Elektra is busy with her own show "the Cleaning Lady" as well as potentially other stuff, so she may have to be recast because of prior obligations.

If the writers of the original Netflix series aren't working on the show, who cares. Disney writers are either overworked, underpaid, or just awful. You can take every actor from the original series, it won't have the same magic without the entire team. That choreography in Echo was nowhere near as good as the original series.

Every season had different writers though, the team that worked on season one were replaced by another team who worked on season 2 then another team on season 3. They don't have to be the same people they just have to keep the quality. That said the executive producer worked on Punisher, so he is technically a Netflix writer not a Disney one. They're also bringing back the main fight coordinator from the Netflix series as well....

I really dislike recasting characters unless absolutely necessary (if the actor is unavailable or for legal or other untenable reasons, like Majors) so I really wish that Vanessa was simply made into a different character, given how prominent a role Ayelet Zurer had in the Netflix series.

@@lordofninjas1 Or… Marvel themselves simply wanted a different actress. 🙂 The original actress expressed sadness over not returning but, yeah, it’s still not clear why she wasn’t brought back. But mind you, this recast happened back when Marvel reportedly were going to make Born Again a completely new thing that wasn’t connected to the original show (for the most part). In any case, it looks like the new actress is going to remain as Vanessa. In short, yes! 😌

I wish, but the reason for the retitling is for contract reasons. The cast and crew are on new contracts now, so Disney doesn’t have to pay as much as they were getting from Netflix. It was a cheap move to keep costs lower for the actors, and this show was originally intended to be a soft reboot. This didn’t officially become “season 4” until the overhaul recently. I find the Born Again title offensive because that’s just another typical Marvel decision to take an amazing comic book that has nothing to do with the actual show or movie. If it was along the lines of Daredevil: Reborn I wouldn’t mind so much, but they straight up took Frank Millers best written Daredevil story and just threw in to be clever. Not to mention season 3 was essentially Born Again.

For me I gotta admit, I wasn’t really *that big* on the Bullseye from season 3, I just think that in comparison to Kingpin and Punisher he wasn’t quite as strong of an antagonist and didn’t leave as big of an impression, but I still wanna continue to see the Bullseye character and so I hope they can maybe improve him a little

I mean, the writing for the Disney+ MCU show sucks. When they first announced this show and that they would doing a new story with the same characters, we were cool with it. But as more and more mediocre shows came out, we began to get worried. So firing the old writers & directors and hiring a new set + continuing where the Netflix show left off is the step in the right direction.

I think it's a good thing cause they finally realized that not every series have to follow movie making process. So glad they scratch from the start cause they know fans really adore the original series
