How did an argument in Khartoum between two rival generals drag Sudan into civil war and push it to the brink of a repeat of the Darfur genocide of two decades ago? It has not happened yet, but the stage is certainly set in El Fasher, the west's only city still in the hands of junta leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan but besieged by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo - aka Hemedti.

Thank you for keeping the spotlight on this grossly under-reported emergency. And for hosting this necessary and painful discussion well. Kholood Khair's proposal that the international community - as a whole, West & East especially - needs to prioritise, first & foremost, forming a consensus to simply stop the war seems key. None of the other steps she, and the other panelists raised, important as they clearly are, can be addressed until this happens. But can this consensus be arrived at by the broader international community before resolution of the Gaza war?

Every one knows, that all goon countries are looting gold same way like colonial era and blaming innocent Sudanese for all situation in Sudan.This end only when all the gold is be looted by the first world countries and no one can do anything the same way as colonization happened..May God bless Sudan.

There is two military doctrine!! US ARMY / Sudan army well trained professional.. law and order TALIBAN IN AFGHANISTAN / RSF local militia tribal alliances unlimited supply of child soldiers 15,17 all the way to 50+ Trillion dollar US ARMED forces got defeated in Afghanistan🇦🇫 no more woman rights!! !! !!
