Because 33 years ago when he was a teenager, he met his old self as Adam. So yeah, adult Jonas knew that he will eventually become the villain and that's one of the reasons he's desperately trying to break the time cycle.

These are the kinds of reveals that shows normally use for their end of season cliffhangers. Dark just keeps throwing them at you relentlessly like grenades throughout the three seasons.
