And with the split, the Jonas that hid in the cellar is the stranger Jonas and Adam. I don't think any other character in Adams world interacted with the split Jonas. He went straight to world 2 and died there so they never knew about time stopping still for a moment even though Adam knew about world 2. And the way Eva explained the schrodingers cat thing is like you can manipulate a two way choice so both outcomes occur but its not enough to cause a major change to the time line so it doesn't branch, they still travel the same time line just on different lanes of the track. Maybe that's why they had to kill him once he served his purpose, so it didn't cause another split

40:20 this is not a spoiler!! We already know that: the reason for adams scars is very simple. While the other travelers like martha, claudia or the unnamed trio are using modern or semi-modern timemaschines in form of a ball or the suitcase, Jonas had to use electric fields in the late 1880s which he had to experiment with since the god particle wasnt discovered yet or similar substances couldnt be made. Therefore his scars came frome basically "old technology" and the many times he tried to re-invent the timemaschine. Comparable to people catching lung cancer and tubacolosis at the same time when factory work wasnt as modern as today.

19:54, the Blind Wave Crew might recognise older Bartosz from Season 2. He was in Episode 1 and got killed by Noah (stabbed him with the pickaxe). They never gave his name or said who he was, but was just an unnamed member of Sic Mundus. So Bartosz in Adam/Jonas' world gets stuck in 1888 up until the 1921. 28:00 Interesting ideas. Keen to see what's shown in the last 2 episodes.

The greatness of this show is that it teases a great puzzle to be solved by the viewer. It's failure is that you can't solve it until the end. Even with the hour and hours spend by this group discussing the plot, they never came close. It doesn't mean that it isn't a great show, it is. It is just not a puzzle to be solved, but a tapestry to be revealed.

There is a reason the kids who die were chosen as test subjects for the Time Machine, ie Mads, Erik and Yasin (plus Helge who was only survivor) Mads because it causes Ulrich to become a cop, he became a cop because his brother’s disappearance was never solved. Ulrich becoming a cop has a direct domino effect on the actions throughout the loop. Erik was chosen because it’s because of his disappearance all the kids go to the sofa at the caves entrance to gets his stash of drugs and it’s at this point that the whole mikkel going back in time to 86 happens and so creating Jonas As for Yasin, he was Elizabeth’s boyfriend so he had to be got rid of so that Elizabeth was single and so she and Noah get together and had Charlotte Essentially they were needed out of their own timeline and were disposable and therefore if they died it wouldn’t have a domino effect and change anything, the perfect test subjects and them being out the way resulted in the “chess pieces” as Adam referred to them being in the right places at the right time, the butterfly effect. Also that’s not the first time you are introduced to middle Bartosz, we were introduced to “world 1” middle Bartosz in Season 2

The 2nd world orb device was not created by anyone...Adam takes it from 2nd world Martha when captured, then gives it to magnus who gives it to Martha to save her from the apocalypse and send her to save Jonas, then it splits into 2 orbs when the time splits, one orb just keeps circulating between martha MagnusAdam Martha as this Martha is captured by Adam, and the other orb is used by eva and Claudia.

@@Music-xp5wg This show explained that information can have no creator, but physical objects cannot due to natural wear. This leads us to the assumption that at some point Eva creates the orb while the old one stops getting used or breaks. In the same way, we have seen Tannhaus make the young box into working condition for the first time, while the old box would then forever remain broken and never be repaired or used again.

@@Morskoy915 well no. Tanhaus's book about time is a physical object that has no creator. Yes Tanhaus wrote it but he never did. Similiarly, Eva created the orb but she never did. @@haridaspalleeri6765 That's what the other commenter is saying. It doesn't make any sense for a physical object to persist indefinitely without sustaining wear. The suitcase time machine breaks down eventually. It doesn't exist in a loop. In the same way, the orb should break down eventually too.

My whole advice over the last few episodes about observing facial scars is a shorthand of realizing said person is the same character from one of the two worlds. Now, Eric is pointing to the Unknown having a hairlip, but the other three start theorizing of two or even three Unknowns. How frustrating. Also, guys, what is a hairlip? What is a common reason for someone having one? Is it a spoiler if I just say especially because they've shown you exactly what it is? It's again one of the show's moments of telling you exactly prior verbally telling or visually showing it outright. It's a common sign of incest.
@krisb.1565
@krisb.1565 Жыл бұрын
This is not nearly as true as you think. Yes it can mean a genetic commonality between two parents but in no way is it a clear sign of invest. It can also be caused by outside factors affecting the mother like environmental toxins and stress and consumption of certain substances. It can also just be random during the developmental process.
@J__T
@J__T Жыл бұрын
@@krisb.1565 While your correct, it does not make what I said untrue. Case in point, look at the Unknown's parents. And yes, you could say Martha went thru much stress during her pregnancy, but considering we don't even see those months, we cannot be sure. Though it should be pointed out that literally no other explanation was given within or outside of the show as for why the Unknown has a hairlip and thus we are forced to rely on our own previous understandings such as the common or common misconception about hairlips is that they come from incest. We can both be right.
@closedmouth
@closedmouth Жыл бұрын
yeah, it's fiction, the writers are using the device of "hairlips are caused by incest" (regardlless of whether it's 100% real-world accurate) to indicate to the audience that the unknown is a product of incest
@bobarcher5837
@bobarcher5837 Жыл бұрын
@@J__T First of all the term was "harelip" and not "hairlip" and that is a completely outdated term that people find offensive since it compares them to animals. The correct term is cleft lip so right off the bat it's pretty clear we can rule out any expertise in your comments. It is absolutely not a "common" sign of incest and in fact there is no agreed upon cause for the condition. The idea that it's a common trait in people born as a result of incest or the implication that someone may be the product of incest is once again an outdated stereotype that doesn't have any factual basis. Leaving aside your complete lack of knowledge of the condition, the writers have never discussed it so there is no correct answer but the main theories are that it could have come about from the exposure to time travel the child would have received in the womb or that it has nothing to do with the lore at all and was just a simple way of showing that three characters at completely different stages of life were in fact the same person. Seems like what is more frustrating than the guys theorizing is the absolute nonsense you came out with. You would think if you were going to take such a pompous tone you might do a basic amount of research...
@J__T
@J__T Жыл бұрын
@@bobarcher5837 Sorry for the misspelling. The 4 on screen also call it a harelip. I'm not apologizing for a widely used term and whether it is outdated or not it is still in circulation moreso than cleft lip. I literally use the words common misconception. I never imply that the makers discuss what the cause of the harelip is. What 'pompous tone' do you refer to? Do you mean my frustration over the 4 on screen believing the Unknown are from two to three different worlds despite it being stated time and time again that there is only one Unknown? Or do you mean my frustration that my comments go nowhere as I am very aware that these reactions are recorded way ahead of the time so most if not all advice given by the audience, especially in the later episodes, is completely unheard until after they have finished the season or series? Keep in mind this is text only. My tone can be read a dozen or more different ways. For instance, your response to my comment felt quite hateful. If so, why comment at all? Why not keep it to yourself?

@waltergro9102

The two overlapping realities with Jonas split into 2 copies is like a microscopic quantum superposition (quantum mechanics) that ultimately collapses and whatever remains of the split is just in one reality. You will see that persons from split realities will encounter one another later - obviously the overlapping realities collapsed into one. That should not be confused with the two "twin" worlds that aren't really separated from one another because there is "world travel". The twin worlds don't collapse into one anytimes.

I love the show but the third season was a little too much for me. Like Eric said at 40:45 I don't if I'm not smart enough, if they want me to be confused and when they actually explain something is it intentional that I'm also confused by that? Well, I think it ties with the final scene with Hannah, in the sense that she very meta-like is telling the audience that she woke up from an awful nightmare where she did and experienced some awful things. The two core events of her life in the two worlds are all linked to her obsession with Ulrich and her own decision to blackmail Boris. If none of those were ever part of the story she may have never done any of the hateful things we saw her do.

It very clearly demonstrates the point that Winden is a black hole, and if someone from outside comes in, they can't get out. That happens with Boris, happens with French delegation, happens with Peter.
