Yeah basically Barbarian wants two stats: Movespeed, and more Vigor. Those two stats happen to scale well way longer than other stats do, Vigor doesn’t fall off for a long while and flat MS buffs never fall off until the 115% cap

Loose trousers should be class specific to Rogue and maybe ranger. That would be a simple change to Barb.

Yeah we better nerf double jump again. Honestly it should just take away ten HP everytime you double jump. Also wizards should have to cook a full meal, suck off a local barbarian and then jerk himself to completion before he’s allowed to get spells back. Also buff barbarian movespeed I got outran yesterday while in full pdr kit and that’s not okay.

It's a bit counterintuitive. Gear scaling makes barb OP because the base stats for barbarian are hands down the best in the game. Barb needs less gear investment to reach key stat thresholds that cover their weaknesses. Min maxing is cheapest and easiest for barb. For example, rogue and barb are the only two classes which start off at 25 for two of their main combat stats. Rogue, however, has strength and vigor in the single digits, while barb already has agility / dex at 13/12. Barb move speed in norms with common gear is going to be below average, and there is a genuine tradeoff for tankiness if you build for speed with common gear. That's why barb in norms is strong but not oppressive. In HR, though, a barb running a purple set consisting of leather cap, reinforced gloves, loose trousers, and laced turnshoe gives them 23 agi and 35 vigor, let alone added stats from the cape or jewelry, and let alone their serviceable dex, 25 strength, and crazy magic resist from above average will and the iron will perk. I say this as someone who loves playing barb but recognizes it needs a slight nerf. Nothing too major

No one ever talks about how OP the move speed buff on rage is. A fucking barb should not be out running a rogue. They need to nerf it down to 5 or 10% move speed buff

I have been playing fighter a lot, I find him so weak with kinda useless passives... It's sad. I don't want to switch to barbarian, but it seems so much better and fun.

The stats are just messed up a rogue would kill to have 32 str 35 vigor. Your agility and movespeed are higher than most rogues. So the only thing you're missing out on is Dex (the worst stat in the game) and Resourcefulness which Barb can circumvent almost entirely with smash. A barb with movespeed is just a rogue with 30 str 30 vigor and one shot potential, isn't that what everyone whined rogues were doing

I personally find that too much of winning and losing is tied to move speed. pretty lame as it is.

Hey bud, your audio really needs some work. I turned my base all the way down and still struggled to understand you over the audio of the in-game volume. I would turn up your volume, turn down some of the bass in the equalizer and then turn down the end game volume.

Maybe thier base agi needs a nerf or take the speed away from rage and give it a bit of pdr

I dont know man rage having a move speed buff is a big part of the issue. you are a class that with rage and achilles you both slow the enemy and gain speed causing a massive imbalance in the speed between 2 equal kits. now without that speed buff I dont see barbarian as being viable as he would kinda be in the same boat as warlock without spells so I think instead rage should have a bigger penalty other than the armor debuff because that is countered by the hp gain instead I think rage should lower your hp making you rather squishy but hard hitting cementing it as a chase mechanic rather than an always pop this at the start of a fight mechanic

Couldn’t they easily nerf barb properly by causing the buff you get from speed do less% seems they’re only too fast after the shout. They shouldn’t be so slow they can be skirted constantly, but maybe even limiting the run speed time without stacking buff duration.. I think people love playing metas because they hate fun Andy just want to win everytime

The problem with this class is that you're able to wear anything in the game. Logically, there's no reason why barbs should be wearing old cloth and very light gear, they should remove it's ability to wear clothes and just keep it leather and higher.

You keep saying, “the gear, the gear, the gear.” Yet you’re not mentioning you have 301 movespeed base barb, but when you use your rage you have 346ish. And then the slow with Achilles. Nothing to do with gear. Barbs should not be faster than rogues and wizards.
