Dark Art Guitars "The Watcher" Headless Guitar Build feat. RatRig Killerbee CNC

I have finally gotten around to building my first guitar from scratch. I designed everything in Fusion 360 and used my RatRig Killerbee to cut out the rough shape. What followed were weeks of sanding and finishing to get to the final result.

Specs of the guitar:
Headless bridge (it's a cheaper option to main brand, but you'll have to replace part of the included hardware like getting steel set screws instead of the brass ones): s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFN...
Pickup: Seymour Duncan Distortion (I believe, or some other SD, I had it for a while and forgot which one it is)
All wood and most components from: guitarsandwoods.com
Body: European Ash with Eucalyptus Veneer
Neck: Wenge
Fretboard: Ebony
Scale: 25" to 25.5"
Frets: Medium Jumbo Stainless Steel (I'll definitely get Jumbo next time, not a fan of these)
Nut: Carbon
Finish: Crimson Guitars High Build Guitar Oil (over stain from the hardware store)
Strings & Tuning: Ernie Ball 10-48, C-Standard
Ampsim: NeuralDSP Archetype Nolly
Music: Circuits by Alexander Nakarada (www.serpentsoundstudios.com)

wow thats cool! really well done as always! this epic project def deserves a long form video if you feel like it, but if not then have fun playing this demon axe and i look forward to seeing what you make next! EDIT: if you ever wanna do this again i feel like it would be quite novel, extremely cool and kinda your style if you try to do the sunburst with some shou sugi ban wood burning. really charred wood with epoxy over it has an incredible, shimmering appearance with stunning 3d depth similar to that dense curly eucalyptus veneer but obviously deep deep black. i feel like that could've looked cool on this body.

This is f*cking awesome, my new CNC machine kit is on its way in from RatRig and its a Lead 1010 with working area of 1250x750mm. I am planing on routing a full guitar, body and neck in one big chunk of wood.. Neck Through. it will be interesting.. :D. thanks for the video..

@@DarkArtGuitars ahh. something funny append. The store you bought the parts is around 30 min distance by car from where I live. I had no idea it existed, now I don't need to source things from far far far away. 😂😂😂

Hey, awesome job there 😊 I got a quick question, how does the bridge actually perform any issues with intonation or tuning stability?

Sorry for the late reply, your comment somehow got through the cracks. Tuning stability and intonation are fine (provided you replace the included screws with ones you can actually tighten without stripping). It is mainly just the quality and feel. For example when tuning there is quite a large dead zone where you turn the knob but it doesn't screw, so any pitch change will go back. Once you got used to it it works, but wouldn't want to use it on a client build.
